Wanna talk about the scene you showed related to Lahore. This market is called Lahore Phool Mandi: The Grand Flower Market Usually in the morning, the trucks full of flowers come from a smaller city knows as Pattoki in the district of Kasur. Pattoki is known as the 'City of Flowers' due to flower varieties grown here. In the morning, stock reaches Lahore and to keep it fresh, they spray water all over it. In the scene, you saw that those men are mixing(shuffling) the flowers again and again so every flower is somehow wet. This will keep it fresh for some time. At this hour, flowers will be transported to every part of Lahore and then will be sold to consumers. That's why there was so much rush! But after some hours, this market will be empty.

This is so wonderful, Alex. Often these videos on travel writing are too generic to be of any use. A few points you mentioned are just gold.

I know what you mean - vague tips are only useful when you already know what you're doing! I tried to be as specific as I could even though writing is quite subjective.

Your writing is excellent. And I agree, many travel bloggers cannot write. But it's because they're trying to make money through ads and affiliates, so they focus on SEOs. not writing itself. Sad. But I'm glad there are people like you and you still make $ through blogging. Your blog should be categorized as a literature blog, not travel. Love.

You have a 'bustling' comment section... oh! Sorry. I meant thay your comments are full of compliments, envious sighs and shout outs, for good reason: Your tips weren't drilled into our heads in a monotone. Instead you have prepped an entertaining little movie, one that makes us laugh and glean the nuances. The little video inserts were especially illustrative. Thank you. Following you.

Thank you for your video. I watched because I just returned from a trip and people are asking to hear about it. I have no idea where to start other than giving them our itinerary but that is boring. We packed a lot of activity into our short trip so there is a lot to tell - potentially. I really appreciate your tips, especially who cares. I can't guess what my family and friends want to hear about so I'm going to have to pick and angle and get it down on paper.

Hey Alex I've been reading your blog posts on Pakistan as I'm planning a solo trip through interior Sindh and Punjab early next ear hopefully. Just wondering, did you solo travel through Sindh as well?
@LostWithPurpose4 жыл бұрын
I have traveled through Sindh several times, but I always end up meeting locals and traveling along with them, which helps immensely. Not sure where you're from, but restrictions make it hard for foreigners to find (affordable) hotels that accept them in Sindh, so having connections is a must. Interior Sindh is absolutely gorgeous and worth the effort, though! I have a blog all about it: www.lostwithpurpose.com/sindh-travel-guide/
@BMFAWAD4 жыл бұрын
@@LostWithPurpose Thanks for the reply, Alex! I'm a british pak so maybe that would help? I've read ALL your blogs on Pakistan!! I couldn't tell you how useful they've been - esp when it comes to prices, ccommodation info, routes and just the fact you're a person of colour travelling through pak so it was nice to hear the same positive story being told about pak (other than the worshipped white people who visit there), it gives me some hope! And yes, so much to see in Sindh, looks incredible!
@LostWithPurpose4 жыл бұрын
@@BMFAWAD Haha, yes, my travels aren't exactly God Mode like some of other travelers. I think being British-Pakistani will actually be helpful for you in Sindh - you'll be able to blend in better which means you won't have security people coming up to ask why you're there/try to manhandle you a bit (and even if they do, all you have to do is say you're visiting cousins or something along those lines). Not sure how things will be handled in regards to staying in local-only hotels-do you have a CNIC or NICOP? That would help.
@BMFAWAD4 жыл бұрын
@@LostWithPurpose yes! - well I'm in the process of obtaining one. I'll be using couchsurfing for accommodation too, so that will help. Every few days I can't help but question going to Sindh because it has such a bad rep! How true have you found this to be? is sindh/are sindhis dangerous?
