Fun video. I’ve lost track of where you were at with the van stuff I’ll have to catch up. I used that floating vinyl flooring that snaps together with the super hard laminate coating. At least with it I never had to worry about stuff not staying down. And that type of flooring is so durable I’ve dropped heavy tools and stuff on it and not a scratch. I had to bargain shop on OfferUp for it to get it cheap as they can be expensive at Home Depot. That was a few years back in my videos. I was building my Stepvan for a “side hustle/ office on wheels”. Now I’m in middle of an engine/ transmission swap. Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoy your honesty about life and also about those risky shortcuts with your build. Be safe and stay cool out there.

If you are changing your seats out, it would be better to pull the seats and and get your flooring down before you lay down flooring..if flooring will go down on the driver's compartment. Save you a bunch of cuts later. Moisture in van will mold up walls and even ceiling. Will get that damp musty smell. Build is "just for you" so it doesn't have to be perfect but mold doesn't know the difference.

My dog gets her Bordetella vaccine and whenever I board her she comes back with a hacky cough. So I always think she has kennel cough but it's not it's her trachea. it goes away it's just from her barking too much when she's at the boarding facility. It even happens at home when she's done too much barking. Also if they wear a neck collar and they pull on it when they're walking them on the leash that can aggravate the trachea to. So I use a harness when I'm leashing her.

Wood on the floor there’s usually a problem with mold between the wood and the metal. I would take it out and not put wood back. I would put down insulation pink.

Hi samantha, great your working on your van, to bad you cant get jaylena to come out for a weekend. That extra set of very knowledgable hands would really make that build fly. But looks like your doing good, hope you and your mom are going to be able to do that trip, seems like shes very excited to go! Hope your weather gets a little better, i cant stand humidity i was in south florida for 5 years , dont miss that humidity at all im in nm now pretty dry just hot been over 100* every day for the last 3 weeks or so whew! They sell stripper/cleaners for your flooring which needs to be very clean to get fresh flooring to stick or float over either.

Hopefully the flooring shall remain glued down for you. Separate suggest, the socket set, before buying a new set, may want to check several garage/yard sales, just remember the price of new compared to their asking price, good tools should last a lifetime or more of well kept.
