I’d strongly recommend watching Anna analysis KZbin video on the realities of van lifers. This isn’t “real”. It’s impossible to work 80 hours a week and do college that’s when I knew something was off. Also her van and the cost of building it would be a minimum of 60K. This girl is playing the hard life card but i guess that rakes in views.

She was an events manager and worked from 7am to 11pm to pay for this build and then did her homework and slept a few hours a night. Her van and build was not as much as you’d like to ASSume. But even if it was.. she worked her ass off for this lifestyle and still does. If you listened to her podcast and even this video you’d realize how happy and truly inspirational and real she is. There’s really no need to put someone else down for living their dream.

@@1517the_year what's wrong about that video is that it assumes everyone experiences the same things she did or what she researched others did. Melissa Anne anything of value. We’ve sold everything from snow skis to antique toy sewing machines to computer hardware. We buy things at estate sales, thrift stores, yard sales, etc. and sell them at a very high profit. Ebay gives you all of the tools to tell you what sells, how much and how fast. A lot of people do it. You can do it just for extra money or completely replace your current income it just depends on how much time you put in. We’ll actually post videos showing in detail how. We have our RV renovation videos up now. We travel full time doing this. We only have two videos on youtube so we definitely don’t make anything there lol. It really is a great way to supplement or make a full time living. Ebay and reselling in general changed our life! : )

Amazing and strong young sister! Being 57 and retired, and always been a restless soul, the last year watching Tiny Homes and Van Life videos have made me realize I need to change my life 180 degrees again and try this out. The main issue is to find a loophole in all the thousands of regulations and taxes, as it cost about 3000 dollars a year just to have license plates on a van like this when you don't use it in your work, but to live in, and living in a van can be more expensive than to rent a home. And outside as well as inside your own private van or tiny home, you still need to meet some heavy regulations too: "Private property" has a different meaning in this country, especially when you are among the poorest people. Creativity and a strong will and drive, like this amazing young woman, are the main road to find a way, do it and not just to dream of doing it or watching other people do it, no matter age, gender or whatever. Stay safe, open-minded as well as open-hearted.

As per taining to your agm batteries.... you could if you don't already, have a battery isolator (your alternator charges up your agm batteries as you drive). In the 5 years of van life ive only had to replace my agm battery once i think. The first agm battery i drained it too low and inherited it so wasn't sure how old that battery was to begin with. But since then it's been years and my current agm battery is still doing good with just one solar panel and a 1100 watt inverter and battery isolator.
