Good stuff mate. Enjoyed this video and seeing this circuit hike. Also, I know what you mean about the summer months. I much prefer the colder winter when outdoors!

I honestly find summer hiking in the high country equally as dangerous as winter (in general). The heat massively restricts what you can do safely while self-supported - water being the main problem.

Thanks man, the light was kind to me. I’m still getting used to working my Sony camera.

You have such a great narration style. Totally relate to the heat versus cold thing. Thought it was just me getting old. I'll only hike in winter. Loved your video.

Thank you, I try and treat the camera as a person - which has taken some time to get used to but I feel like I'm becoming more fluent now. I'm glad my heat comment is resonating, I thought I was an odd one out.

@@betterhiking I’ll recommend Watties Gully loop in Lerderderg state park, 26km, 22 with short cuts, 2x heartbreak hills very steep inclines, 1x with a very rock scrambly climb up, 2x river crossings, some fire road and 8km rock hopping up a mostly dry river bed strewn with obstacles that ends with a climb down a dry waterfall 😂 I did this solo day hike clockwise in 10 hours but you are younger and fitter. Planning a summer return with lightweight hammock for overnight camp setup 😎🤙

That sounds interesting, possibly one for the colder months for me.
