Are you allowed to light a fire like that? I'm pretty sure there are strict rules to lighting fires in Victoria. Please make sure you're following the rules.

Yeah it’s the middle of winter and the past few days leading up to this had been raining non stop. I also lit the fire in wet soil as well as snuffing out the fire completely before I left!

@@Spacemonkeymojo you also need to check the fire danger rating and weather conditions before lighting a fire in Victoria as well as the location you’re in, which I did but still took extra precautions but feel free to leave some advice

@@LetsAdventureTogether-LAT I thought you needed a permit to light a fire. I’m not sure though. In national parks I thought you couldn’t light a fire unless it’s in a campfire, if it’s a state forest you might be able to light a fire anywhere but you probably need a permit. Our rules aren’t the same as overseas where people can light fires anywhere they want. I’m not sure if it matters what season it is, you still might need a permit.
