I just finished watching all of your Goldfields Track videos, thank you so much for sharing them! Love the way you chat to the camera, feels like we’re on the hike with you. Been thinking about doing this track and it was very helpful to watch. Thanks!

Aww thanks! Means a lot. Really pleased you enjoyed the video. I'm actually looking to go back and complete the last section as the southern part of the track is opening again I believe.

Since English is not my main language, I apologize for any linguistic errors. The video on the "Amok Draumr 5.0 XL" was informative, thank you for that. Following is a small addition of mine to your statements in minute 15:57 or 16:07 . As far as I know, the foaming comes either from surfactants or proteins. Whether by naturally occurring plants such as soapwort (contain natural saponins) or by organic material or its decomposition products - this can usually not be identified freely. For example, whether carcasses are in the upper river course (stream courses or water sources of the high mountains) or also by discharge of sewage or liquid manure as in the lowlands or rural regions. Here probably harmless humic acids from moor waters? Good to see you using a water filter in 57:30 . I wish you continued safe travels 🙂

Wow, that was a very informative reply! Thanks for taking the time :) Thankfully I've been lucky and not had any issues with water yet. Though I normally filter everything, except on my last hike (Great Ocean Walk), I just boiled the water from the rain tanks.

The mining areas will have lots of rock on the trails. I love the Blowhole and Bryce’s flat areas. Drinking the puddle water, did you need to worm yourself after that?

I think that bald mountain was Mt Franklin. Its an old volcano and has a pine plantation planted on one half of it.
