I'm sitting here with my mouth open in shock. This was one of my favorite runs and inspired my current cleric character. Was really looking forward to the Raphael fight but fate let's that basted slip away from justice. Absolute (Pun intended) tragedy. Justice for Elaris. 😥

I'm so sorry for you, Mythical😢. This was by far my favorite run of yours with one of my favorite classes. Losing a run to some BS bug like that is just sad... Hope you still enjoyed it and can motivate yourself to try again. I will be watching👍

Thanks At least now I learned to stay away from hope and that helldusk boots will not work on imps push back it should but that is bugged as well but ketheric armor and minthara boots still work

spectator used paralyzing ray. You had freedom of movement applied. So why would your speed drop to 0 then?

@@mythicaledeg after last patch they all have legendary action and aura that triggers upon approach. It seems to frighten and petrify. Both conditions are completely negated by hero's feast and freedom of movement. And you had both. And there are no saves in the log too looks like

It's not a bug, it's a new reaction they added to these things in the latest patch. They shoot a beam when you come within 20ft and for some reason it gets rid of your movement with no save. The exact same thing happened to one of my characters (luckily I wasn't solo).

@@georgea4124 The thing is I was sure they do that when they have beam charges to begin with and it either uses paralyzing/confusion/frightening ray which we are immune to both of them via freedom of movement and heroes feast it does have a saving throw on the effects but the momentary pause of your tav is a little bs for an arena that has chasm between spectators for imps I had helldusk boots which prevents being pushed like ketheric armor or minthys boots but I learned that the imps are bugged vs helldusk boot too they ignore that for some reason so for them only ketheric armor and minthara boot will work 🥲my knowledge of the spectators is pretty bad thou

Honestly it depends on what you really want to use I noticed you liked using destructive wave(I think that’s what it’s called) with tempest that’s guaranteed max damage you can do with that spell at least 3 times per combat by act 3 with the amulet that gives you an additional challenge divinity

@@mythicaledeg also idk how you feel about mods but one mod I would suggest that isn’t game breaking is mystras spells. Honestly my favorite mod and it’s not game breaking since its spells from dnd 5e. It really just gives you more cantrip and spell options including sacred flame alternatives lol. But domains also get additional domain spells from that mod as well

Even if it worked, the imp could have made you fall off with eldritch blast, my strategy is that I always stay in the center, and send unimportant summons to the platforms. In my honor mode playthrough, I was very disappointed when hope died at the first round of combat, she didn't even get a turn. I saved her for her opulant revival, but Shadowheart had to do it instead. Saving Hope and making her fight Raphael in the intended way ie not protecting her is ironically a hopeless endeavor. Even the brightest of lights can fade to the darkness, goodbye light cleric.

our light was not bright enough to survive this darkness rip elaris 🥲 We had helldusk boot for the imps but apparently imps are bugged vs helldusk boot it will not work on them like ketheric and minthys boot like it should I always go back the original location behind the doors but this time I was being greedy 😶‍🌫

Had the same bug end a recent honour mode run. There are some weird bugs in this location with the pathing when moving from one platform to another.

I hate that they added this to the Spectators (even the one in the underdark). For some reason when you get within range it hard stops you (I assume because the engine can't handle shooting a moving target?) It the same reason opportunity attacks stop you, but in those cases you're never flying through the air. It's very lame that they patch in things that can end runs and you just have to discover them.

Oh I never looked at it this way so that is why it happens like that Thanks. yeah I don't want to be hard on larian they are super amazing but I feel someone had to think about this encounter when they added that to the spectators 😅but if you lose a run in the same manner you did as before (in my case it was my own damn fault for being stupid🥲)

here is the build for act 1 and 2 add markoheshir in act 3 and you are good to go : for the level I am going for a full cleric run so I wont be multiclassing but you can get 2 levels in fighter for action surge and con proficiency and +1 ac or get something like this 5 paladin 5 or 7 cleric or 5 paladin 5 cleric and 2 fighter for stats I went for: 17 in wisdom(after I got the hags hair before that it was 16 and 10 str) 16 in dex 14 in con 8 str and 8 int feats I got : level 4 alert feat level 8 War Caster for better concentration saves 1-Holy lance helmet 2-Adamantine shield for crit immunity 3-Blood of Lothander mace before That we mostly used phalar aluve could use spell sparkler too 4-Crusher ring going to replace it with the callus glow ring for extra 2 radiant damage 5-Ring of Protection 6-boots of stormy Clamour bought from omeluem in myconid colony 7-gloves of belligerent skies looted from a chest in W'wargaz room in crache 8-luminous armor can get it right after entering in the underdark in the selunite out post near the way point you can either jump or use misty step to avoid the perception check and just loot it from the chest 9-cloak of protection sold in last light inn 10-periapt of wound closure Sold by Lady Esther, north-east of the Trielta Crags waypoint
