The best version of this would be to come up with palettes for a bunch of the "What type(s) is Venomoth?" and have it switch typing every battle along with its model. Thus everyone can be right about Venomoth's type, but only in a transitory kind of way.

When I was like 6 or 7 i got Pokémon gold. And i lost to Whitney's miltank so many times that I eventually spent most of my time just catching pokemon and doing the bug catching tournaments. I'm with you on the Nuzlockes thing; I think a longer form video series works better for them than single videos. KZbinrs don't have time to get invested in their Pokemon when they're trying to hurry the video out the door, so when they lose one, there's not enough emotional impact to be engaged by the struggle.
@positivea91112 жыл бұрын
Yeah most KZbinr I know do nuzlocke do it like a speed run because they keep on rushing in the game and don’t take the time to grind or find secret items. That cause more deaths (Not because on luck),make it more harder on themselves and most likely form no bond.

I have a Childhood story that relates to Pokémon... I remember playing Pokémon R/S/E growing up and I also had a friend who played Pokémon at the time. Well I had to go on a vacation and my parents didn't let me bring my Gameboy. So I thought that my Blaziken and the rest of my Pokémon would get lonely so I asked my friend to "Pokésit" my team and gave him my game cartage to use. I came back home from the vacation and asked my friend for my game back. He said "sure" and handed my game back to me. Turns out he spent all of my money on Full heals because he thought they were like a cheaper full restore. Thinking back on it makes me very nostalgic.

one thing I feel about watching these challenges is they offer a glimpse into the kind of challenge I would like to have in a pokemon game, relying on creativity and wit (with some luck) to beat the game. however I am unable to manufacture this kind of experience myself, via time or patience (and I enjoy capturing and leveling pokemon). on top of that while sword and shield had their strong points and could be enjoyable, they left a sour taste in my mouth because it feels like gamefreak doesn't give a shit about the quality of their games . So, to see youtubers give so much time and effort just feels good, that we are not alone in out love. also I know competitive is an option for challenge in pokemon, but I feel that there are less options for weird and creative teams in competitive. plus the progression one gets in the story modes of pokemon games is more fun than just static battles again and again. thanks for the great video !
@Loozar4023 жыл бұрын
I never really got into competitive battling for the same reason: too time consuming. But as much flak as Sword and Shield get for being blatantly rushed and unfinished games, I do appreciate the quality of life improvements that were made to make competitive team building far easier.

I think the new UI looks great. And it's nicer to look at. Also congrats on 10k. I'm really glad I found this channel early on. Also, a little story. When I was a young boy, my older brothers gave me and my younger brother their copies of Diamond and Platinum. And the issue was, my copy of Diamond had been left in their pocket and put through the washing machine. Now the cartridge worked. It functioned, but I couldn't fit it in the Action replay, which was how we all played Pokemon cause we were dumb kids who couldn't strategize. But I had to play that game legit. And it taught me a lot about playing Pokemon and playing it well. I was still a kid so I did some digusting things I would never do now, like using a Legendary on your team and such. But in the end, I got over 125 hours of the game, and just about completed it, having only missed out on Dakari and about 30 pokemon who evolved in weird ways I didn't understand, like Friendship evolutions. Or having accidently killed some legendaries. I believe Mesprit was the one I killed.

If you are sincerely interested in getting into competitive battling, generation 8 has made building competitive mins MUCH more accessible. You can still grind it out the old fashioned way, but they've also introduced items that can modify more or less every stat of significance on a pokemon to get what you want/need. Pokemon showdown is also a good way to give it a try and see if you like it, since you don't have to raise the mons at all.

Ok, Canada Goose Pokemon? Onoose - the Ogre Goose Pokemon (Name origin: Oni + Goose) Fighting/Flying Ability: Anger Point This waterfoul is native to regions north of Unova. It is a brutish, violent creature that attacks anything that moves, in contrast to the good nature of the people who live there. Signature attack: Aggressive Rampage Type: Fighting Power: 30 PP: 5 This move attacks two to five turns in a row, during which the opponent cannot attack or switch out (basically, Gen 1 Wrap/Fire Spin). Counts as both Fighting and Dark type. High critical hit chance. Must recharge for a turn after use (this is to prevent wraplocking).

I was moved when I heard how you began making content on KZbin, and how you had to persevere until you finally started getting results. Congrats on what you've accomplished. You deserve it! I honestly think - as a viewer - that the most important thing is the narration. Video editing skills or fancy memes may be useful, but if the person who's doing the challenge doesn't have something unique to say, or if they can't bring an interesting angle to the things that are happening on screen, it just doesn't work. Fortunately, you were always good with this. Regarding the Kabutops vs Omastar video: personally, I'd prefer one single and long video. All the fun is just in one place and I've seen a lot of other KZbinrs making 1h-long videos. It doesn't bother me at all.
@ScottsThoughtsPokemon3 жыл бұрын
I'm working hard to improve narration quality. Audio quality, line delivery, script structure & wording, and pacing are key areas that I'm working hard on. Glad I've at least stumbled into having these elements work well enough so far! I think it's going to be a single huge video. Thanks so much for you comment.
