Glad you got to see you got to Dunedin, the Moeraki Boulders, and to Bluff. Would have liked to see you try Baldwin Street in Dunedin on the Scram - the incline is 19° or 35%. The Moeraki Boulders are pretty in good light. There are waterfalls in the Catlins area not far from there. Also, +1 for Cathedral Caves - just don't risk it on a rising tide with a storm surge. The chain sculpture at Bluff connects thematically to another on Stewart Island / Rakiura - shame you didn't get there, the place needs more publicity.

Hay always look forward to your vids “ especially NZ “ I noticed when you packed up ( not sure 🤔 why I didn’t notice in other vids of yours ) Your soft panniers are the same as mine I think 🤔 Enduristan ? , yours look like the large ? I only got the medium. They do work well on my 300 Rally . Have fun mate ! I’m heading up to Cairns on Tuesday from Wodonga. Driving up with bike in trailer “ and two dogs in the car “ 😂, staying up their for the winter 🥶. If you are up that way during winter look me up. I’m actually will be on the tablelands- Tolga .

thanks mate, great to hear you are enjoying the series. They bags are very similar but mine are the Rhinowalk 48L ones (I think they are a copy of the Enduristan one) I am sure the Enduistan ones are way better quality but they were out of my budget they were $550AUD where as the Rhinowalk were $160AUD. Have fun in up in Cairns, its the best time of year up there.

Really enjoying your NZ adventure. Hopefully I'll be going next year (campervan!) Won't be be going up those rough tracks! The views are amazing! One thing keeps catching my eye, why have you got a sticker with 72 on your mirror?
@freewayproject13 күн бұрын
Thanks mate, it's great to hear you are enjoying the series. Royal Enfield gave me the bike to ride so I'll be giving it back at the end, the sticker was on it when I got it and as it is not mine I want to give it back in the same condition as I got it, sticker and all.

The whole of New Zealand looks very vibrant. That Scram leans at a precarious angle, hope it was down wind from the tent. Are you missing your Himalayan, or are the Scram and Himmy more or less very similar?
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
Yes New Zealand is a stunning place and in the autumn light. When the bike is next to the tent I always have it far enough away from the tent so if it does fall it won't fall on me. I hope you are enjoying the series.

Another great episode Joe. Sorry I’m late commenting. I did watch this episode several times on the TV, looks so good in 55” HD/4K, but I’m not logged into my account on that device. Congratulations on another 1000+ subs since last week, it’s picking up at some pace! I just wanted to ask about how you edit your videos and what software you use? I used to use Windows Moviemaker (because it was free and already on the computer), but recently got a MacBook and trying to decide on what to use. Also, what file type do you save your videos in? I do have a YT channel but I haven’t done anything for quite a while and I’d like to start filming and vlogging again. Cheers buddy, all the best, Richard in UK!

Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying this series. I have always been on Mac so I use Final Cut Pro (FCP), the two other main ones used are davinci resolve and adobe premiere pro. I think there is a few copy of Davinci it doesn't have all the features but for this kind of stuff would be fine. I have head it is good. adobe premiere pro is expensive and well over bloated with feature that you'll probably never use and it runs a lot slower than the other 2. Final Cut Pro runs the fastest the bonus of the hardware and software being created by the same company. they probably still have iMovie which is a basic version of Final Cut Pro it might come free (I am not sure). I have edit feature documentaries with FCP it has everything you'll ever need. They User interface is a lot more intuitive than some of the others. But basically pick one and learn it (youtube will help) they all do the same job. Once the video is edited I used Compressor (apple) to explore the file, It has a setting called KZbin 4K which explores the file as a .mov I hope that helps.

Hi Joe. It sure seems to rain a lot in N.Z.!! Worth it, though!!
@silverdale320715 күн бұрын
Not on the east coast sadly it's may and we are still in drought, hardly rained since xmas.
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
It seem to be around the mountains a more. It' doesn't really feel like it has rained that much until I look back at the episodes. yes definitely worth it and none of it has been heavy rain.
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
Yes it seem the centre of the island has had a little but the east coast is tinder dry.

Noooo. You didn't go and check out Burt Munro's Indian at Invercargill. Next time👍. I never realised that your pants had armour in them. What brand are they mate?. The road next to the beach reminds me of Penguin Rd in Tassie.
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
Yes I'll definitely have to come back to NZ, I know there is so much I am missing on this one. yes similar kind of vibe riding from Ulverstone to Penguin. The pants brand is John Doe the style is Stroker (they are a German brand so I don't think they got the second meaning of stroker 😂😂😂). They are also kevlar lined.

How are the roads so empty😮 can't imagine
@freewayproject12 күн бұрын
In and around the cities the roads are busy, but where I seem to explore I guess most people aren't interested in going there. Once I get on the dirt roads and tracks I rarely see anyone. in New Zealand.

hey man, love your work. what is your shooting gear like in the wilderness!!!
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
I do have a video on the gear I use including camera gear on the channel. But basically a Osmo Action for the on bike shots, a Sony A7SIII for film everything else, I only have space for 2 lenses Sony GM 24mm 1.4 and a Sony GM 70 - 200mm 2.8 and a Mavic Drone, photos are taken with a old Sony A7RIII from 2017

Joe! last time I was at that lighthouse I saw an Orca! Who plays these songs on your intro and outro? Great sounds, very capturing with the video.
@freewayproject13 күн бұрын
Really, that would have been epic. The music is from a licensed music website, if the music isn't licensed then KZbin removes all the audio from the video (they have a program that scans each video and checks it against a database of all music. Finding decent music it one of the most time consuming painful things to do 😂
@dylantaylor970713 күн бұрын
That program would be very useful for charging a couple of cents for royalties. Them musicians could earn money (albeit stuff all) from streaming sites.
@freewayproject13 күн бұрын
@@dylantaylor9707 yes the musician get paid which is how it should be.

one thing i don't understand , you're running wild, so how do you editing videos, i meant, the laptop can't hold long time to ran out of power
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
The episode take me a long time to edit, so I do the first ones while riding but as they take me so long I edit the last few when I get back home.

Mate, do you ever meet and talk to anybody?
@freewayproject15 күн бұрын
I meet the fly fisherman in episode 2 and the farmer in episode 4, but so far no one else, most places I go there is no one around. But soon I should be meeting up with some one.
