July 6th - This morning, I split ways with ‪@bikerida_‬ and continued south along the Swedish Trans Euro Trail. There is a whole lot of gravel and forest, wilderness, wildlife and solitude. Surprisingly, the TET has been very beginner-friendly so far and is a great alternative if you want to get off the highway for a while.

So nice to see you again, and so nice to hear you chitchat in the end of the videos, it’s som off the best part to hear you sumerise the day and tell what you think about this and that It’s so interesting to hear your opinions😊 I saw that you got some new friends along the road those reindeer especially the calf’s is among the cutest creatures on the earth. Yes the rules about drone flying and publishing of material is really hard in Sweden. We are not allowed to fly near airfield or landing places for helicopters. Not in national parks or national reserve. And not on military shooting field. An then also the rules for publishing the material as soon as you can see a piece of the horizon or the sky and so on. The strange thing is that i’ve you had a really high tripod and took the exact same pictures the rules are different. 🤔🫶🇳🇴

Thank you Jonas! Glad you like it 😊 Sometimes I feel like I'm just rambling! And yes that is really strange how big difference it is with pictures/videos taken from drone vs if you take picture with a view from somewhere high 😅

I think the views are really good here also, and its because there is no one around and they go on forever, its pretty damn relaxing, atleast for me. you need to learn to adjust the shifter for standing up and find a sweet spot for standing and sitting, i had to do that on the pan am, also i'd have a hard time with those damn mosquitos...lol. you got guts for dealing with those! Hey you, stick to your own channel. 😁😁🤣🤣I enjoy both of your channels. I try to get others to spend the winter with all the other snowbirds and do all your riding in south flori..duh. But, there's not much to see but alligators and swamps and mud fests. There are a few nice forests in North Flori..duh. You would not like our super wide highways and so roomy and traffic. All flat land like your country. But we do have lake okeechobee with the levee that goes all the way around it. I rode around it about 2 years ago and took about 3 hours on my 94 honda goldwing 1500.Not much to see. Maybe I could show you how to start a forest fire in some nice places. Something to do. 🙂

What language do you - as a Norwegian - speak when communicating with people in Sweden? And what about Denmark: Danish or English? I was wondering how much each Scandinavian country's people learn of the other 3 countries' languages, or, must they commonly revert to English when communicating with each other? I am endlessly impressed by how fluent Europeans/Scandinavians are at speaking English (honestly - like yourself - better than many Americans who speak only one language).
@erikherje3414
@erikherje3414 10 ай бұрын
Hi! Most Scandinavians understand each other speaking their own language.. They are pretty much alike, Norwegian and Danish is quite different spoken, but almost the same written language! Swedish is a bit different, but still close enough to be easy to understand. And then we have dialects 😂 Some Swedish dialects are hard to understand and some Norwegian dialects are even hard to understand for Norwegians 😂 But I - as a Norwegian - usually talks Norwegian to my Swedish or Danish friends. And they understand me and vice versa.

Thanks for the question above and the interesting answer below it. I, too, was wondering about that. Good to know. I find Runa's accent very minimal. As an English speaker I find it very interesting to have CC or read subtitles when a foreign language is spoken and notice how some words are common or spelled differently but i can recognise them. It is heartening to see in this divided world how much more we all have in common. 😊 Mark 🇨🇦

I'll just rob the supermarket on a few necessary items and prep the evening dinner, and then I'll be all over this... Update on a fuller stomach: I haven't been way up north since 1992 or thereabouts, but I can see that the midges and mosquitos are just as "fun" now as they were then. The reindeers are definitely a lot more fun to watch and to have by your side. Sweden, as well as Norway, are quite elongated and most of us haven't seen and enjoyed the parts you are travelling through right here, so it feels fresh and mighty enjoyable to see northern Sweden through your eyes. All thumbs up from Skåne! 👍👍

Hey Runa, I admire the effort to promote Scandinavia and the TET, but frankly, it's pretty boring to watch gravel roads and black flies. Why don't you ask KTM to promote the Norden in a more attractive area, with views and something to experience? The Pyrenees come to mind. Or Morrocco? You'll die of frost up there pretty soon anyways. So head south. You'd find riders who will give you room and board everywhere. And no bugs. 😂 Your video skills are pretty good though and your laid back, cool style is excellent.

Sorry I had to tell you of your volume audio issues on here. I have tried to email you and your facebook before, but I've never had a response from your emails in many months. Music and talking were perfect. I did not have to adjust my volume one time. "CONGRATULATIONS." As for the Caraboo running on the highway, I would have pulled out ahead of them, stopped and parked my bike and tried to touch them as they came bye....if they came bye. They seemed accustomed to machinery equipment noises. I was continuing to wonder if you would ever get your audio adjustment levels with each other. The music was not loud and annoying like most of them do.Your hair looks nice like that.What does your boyfriend think of it that way? When I was your age I preferred long hair too on a girl. But when you get older, short hair is easier to manage and much less work. The same with my beard. I don't know how your friend braids his beard in the front. I had a handlebar mustache years ago for about 10 years. Got to be too much work when I was in my middle 40's. That's life. You will figure it out what you like as time goes on. Great video. when are you giving the Bike back.? The season is over. 😢😢. Bye.

For me as a gravel rookie it helped to adjust brake and gear lever a bit more for standing position. It's alot easier to compromise the position of the levers when sitting. Quick shifter help me when breaking into corners. I don't have much feeling for the brake pedal wearing boots so breaking without pulling the clutch in when shifting gear keeps my back wheel from skidding.

The problem I had with Sweden is that it is so densely forested, you can't see more than 20 feet off the roads on either side unless an area has had some forest logged/clear cut or you ride right next to a lake. All in all, not it's very scenic like Norway is.
