Thank you mate ☺️🙌🏻 Sweden is amazing if the weather is with you, I would suggest doing the southwest Part of TET, maybe as far as near Stockholm but all the way to Finland might become a bit boring, at the north part you will find very very long and straight gravel roads and so many mosquitoes you won’t believe it. Southern Sweden and then maybe Norway for the Mountain View’s would be my recommendation

So happy to hear you liked it and I would be thrilled if you would help to share it ☺️🙌🏻👌🏻 The Tuareg is a brilliant bike, better standard suspension than the T7 and that air intake sound from the top is such a thrill. I tried the bike in the video, absolutely loved it, the seating position is much more relaxed than my T7, a bit too relaxed for my taste and not quite as good standing position but it’s a great bike 😎🙌🏻

It is very difficult to capture the feeling of adventure and trail riding. That emotion which comes from the combination of environment, fellowship and flow on a bike. Your video does that in a way few, if any, have done. It allows one to notice the small things about riding, within the big picture. For example, the pleasures of fitting new kit, the tingle of fear and anticipation of that first bit of solo riding to meet up with friends. The change in tone through the day. Magical!

It's interesting how things has changed. When i started riding gps navigators wasn't even that common. We made roadbook rides with a maximum number of participants a few times a year. After the ride, the roadbooks was collected again. Tracking the ride with gps wasn't allowed. Why? Because the ride was "owned" by the locals who arranged it. Because if all the people would come back and ride the same route, the land owners would get annoyed and they would put up signs and gates. Basically all the fun tracks in Sweden are on private land, the land owners has the right to shut in down any day.
@thescandiflicktv7 ай бұрын
Yes you are right, but there is so many thousands of miles of road so there’s enough for all of us, it is always good to make sure you don’t bother the landowners by driving the same track all the time, most of them here though are very friendly and always greet us with a wave or small chat ☺️🙌🏻

Wow, thank you for that comment ☺️🙌🏻 That is great to hear. Whether you decide to break up with the AT or fall back in love, the important thing is to go out and ride. Sweden is the perfect country for an AT or Tenere, it is rarely steep enough for it to be a problem, the only time I struggle with the big girls are when it’s very steep, it feels so uncomfortable to be riding down or uphill with a bike you can’t man handle a little, my riding skills are not good enough to feel confident with a big heavy bike in very tricky and potentially dangerous situations. But for flat curvy terrain like Sweden, the “bigger” ADV is the perfect choice. That’s why I love the T7 here. Let me know in the comments on the next one what you decide and happy riding ☺️😎🙌🏻

@@thescandiflicktv Sweden indeed is the place to go, whe've done the whole TET Sweden and parts of Norway the last 3 autumns. Especially prefer the endless space, friendly people, 'dagens ret'(mensa meals) and camping in shelters on the most beautiful places. Next up is probably Norway and Finland. Besides that Denmark, Sweden, Norway is a preferred place to spend our free time anyways. (..) To me the 'big girls' really don't like slippery stuff; mud, wet tree roots, high grass. Combined with to much power the girls sometimes become 'Karens' . And since handeling goes better over the years, the ridings speeds go up and up... not a wise thing. And with the AT DCT with crashbars and camping gear weighing app. 275kg + rider that is to much for the more slippery and technical stuff... Even driving towards a cabin can be a very risky operation. For a long time the kove 800x was the new gril in town, but she's not coming any time soon, and then there she suddenly appeared out of no-ware, presenting herself to the world: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3KylpyedtWdZsksi=__1EKZchpGDFfqVx ps. if you have any tips on finding (legal) gravel roads in sweden.... don't hesitate sharing them... greetings from The Netherlands

@@cowsnorff I totally agree, the big girls are great for the ride from Amsterdam and less so when you actually get to where you want to ride 😅 Maybe check out the AJP PR7, check @johannesdalen, he bought one for this season and I’m doing a long trip with him in a few weeks. Will definitely convince him to let me try it out 🤪 It should be, on paper, the unicorn bike (although it’s a single, not a twin) Also, definitely check out @Stegraio, they are a Swedish route planner, also now on app for android, they have the ultimate route planner, especially for Sweden. Not only can you see which roads are unpaved, but also where the roads are closed off with gates. Before this it was impossible to plan your own routes without extensive local knowledge, now, you can plan routes way more technical that TET or make the TET even better with detours. In general, all roads in Sweden are legal, as long as there is room for a car to go there, that means single track are illegal in most cases, but you will find a lot of roads on private land with a no entry sign or gates which should of course be respected.

@thescandiflicktv6 ай бұрын
Thank you mate ☺️🙌🏻 Oh no, Anders on the Touareg and me are riding Bridgestone battlax AX41 front and rear. That’s a 50/50 tire. Rasmus is swearing to Mitas, the former e12/e13 now called Enduro Trail XT+, it’s more of a 80/20 tire. I’m trying it out in a few days on our next trip, the front has way more grip, the rear as well but from what I’ve heard not the greatest sidewall traction, more great traction on full surface

@@thescandiflicktv Sounds great. I just bought the Heidenau K60 Scout and was planning on doing my first TET tour to Sweden on my Tenere with this tire. I've only heard good things about the AX41, but it doesn't make sense for me because of the many kilometers I have to drive on the road before arriving on the TET.
@thescandiflicktv6 ай бұрын
@@janny12352 it’s all about personal need and preference, I have reached a point where off-road and unpaved road are my main objective with riding so I’d rather go a little more slow and careful on tarmac and change tires as often as needed to get the best possible experience when on the gravel, on this trip I had quite a few front wheel slips which happens regardless if you push hard enough but it happened when I didn’t feel I was pushing hard so getting more front wheel grip was something I was lacking, so I just went straight home and bought new tires. Beautifully made! Fantastic. On the Revit point, I'm being torn between this gear setup (specifically the one from a friend of yours, who's wearing separate armor underneath the Component) and the traditional pants and jacket with built-in armor. Do you find this jacket breathing enough at lower speeds and when you have to work harder on the trail?
@thescandiflicktv7 ай бұрын
@@КонстантинВоронцов-х6с I’m wearing a protective armour vest underneath, so I’ve taken out the armour that comes with the jacket, it is breathable but honestly if it’s warm and your wrestling the bike it is still waterproof so it’s quite warm. I rode it in Portugal at 25 degrees and always took it off at the trail during mid day, that’s why I drive with the protective armour underneath and then a jersey
