what are the rules regarding camping in the park? I've just googled for an hour and couldn't find anything (that's how I found your video, beautiful!!). Do you need a permit?
@Itsirislisette4 ай бұрын
@@christinefosberg6492 There are no camping permits as far as I know of and although there were no specific signs which did forbid camping, I would not dare to set up my tent anywhere in the park. This was a very secluded spot which can only be reached by hiking there. Also in Summer, there is a high fire risk, so only Spring and Fall are advisable. As with any National Park or Nature Reserve, take care of the environment by leaving it cleaner as you found it 🌱💚 and don’t make any camp fires (not even a gas cooker). I hope that helps a bit 😊

I am so happy to see this! I hike a lot in Turkey and I am most likely moving to Portugal and wondered about hiking there. Thanks! One question. Here in Turkey shepherd dogs are a big problem. Do you ever have problems with dogs?
@Itsirislisette5 ай бұрын
@@AtHomeInTurkey Hi 🙋🏼♀️ Oh you will love Portugal! Many beautiful hiking trails for you to explore 💚 There are stray dogs and also farm dogs in Portugal. And I have been in a couple of scary situations as the dogs were protective over their „land“ (although I was on a public path). So you certainly will encounter some along the way, but I wouldn’t call it a general „problem“. Hope that helps ☺️

@@Itsirislisette Thanks! Here in Turkey those dogs are untrained and huge! Not a problem for most but I walk with a dog and that makes it a big problem. People actually get bitten. Put Kangal in google and you will understand. I was in trouble with 5 of them not so long ago. Its in one of my videos. Lucky I was by my car or it would have been ugly

@AtHomeInTurkey Glad to hear you made it out safe and sound from that situation. Yes, hiking/traveling with a dog adds an additional level of stress to these situations. Stay safe 💚

@@SERGIO-cr6uy Thanks! Wild live we have here too and they usually want nothing to do with you. It's the massive dogs that just do their job that are the problem.
