@@MrJarski81 What restrictions are you guys talking about? I hunt in region 8 but I don't see what you are talking about when looking at region 3 regs. Oct 1st to 31st any buck...

@@bneaclab1 there were restrictions on access in areas close to the burns from this past summer’s forest fires. They were lifted on Oct. 15th.

when you hear Squirrels you need to go a different route; they warn all the other animals of danger.

Yeah, they’re like little alarm bells. When I’m sitting and waiting for deer and hear a squirrel go off, I often wonder what they’re barking at in the forest. Do squirrels do this to deer passing by?

@@MrJarski81 Not sure; probably warning deer. I have heard squirrels chirping before and then walked up on deer bedding down.

Not really a deer watering source...just saying. Unless you are hunting an extremely dry area, staking out water is not an effective strategy in region 3 IMHO.
