Solo Necromancer - Yurgir - Honour Mode

I do not like this fight one bit. The enemies got a lot of resistances and they are plenty of em! On top of that Yurgir can output a ton of damage from his explosives while also having a legendary action that do big damage. It's a recipe for disaster if you play a build without a big burst. We're of course not skipping the fight though! So let's see how this encounter treat us.

Oh my gosh, you actually fought him! I am so scared of that fight duo/solo that I just execute all the rats first and avoid it like the plague. Amazing job, Phantasmal Killer was a great tactic, it really kept Yugir in check, holy shit!

I really don't like this fight, I think it's too dangerous usually. But got to prove that my wizard can do it hehe. He got quite rocked by that spell, almost feels like cheating.

Love seeing such an underused spells wreck Yugir like that. This seems like one of the safest ways to solo him as a spellcaster.

It honestly felt quite safe to use that spell. I think that encounter is really dangerous usually. Went good :). Although big minus that all the undeads got destroyed. Can’t win ‘em all!

I usually start the fight at the stairs where you can see the Displacer Beast, burst it down as much as possible (kill it ideally) and then jump down the stairs just to hide at the very corner of the stairs. This starts the fight, but a well placed cloud of daggers or HoH really goes a long way :). It is only a few Merregons that finally jump down and Yurgir already half finished at that point - not a fast way, but a sure (even cozy) way. Well, at least for now, let's see if that changes after patch #7. 😹

I was actually planning on starting on the displacer beast like that but I messed it up and it ran away 😅. Perhaps for the better since I wouldn’t be able to build acuity stacks on the demons. Both HoH and Cloud are favorites for sure

@@FriendlyLich maybe it's bc its a condition...btw. what is really annpyiong is that the min. dmg. of the cantips is so low :D almost level 10 and you hit for 3 dmg at ~16:20

Just lost my solo honour mode playthrough in the STUPIDEST way to the duegars that toss gnomes into the lake. Got cocky from the run going so well. Idk how you stay this prepared and careful for every encounter😄

I usually try to rush through the start of the game and then play more and more careful the further I progress. I've had some very stupid deaths in the early game. Like getting blown into a chasm by exploding flowers right outside BOOOAL entrance and such. It happens! :)

I laughed so hard😂 I literally pushed the scrying eye in the lake in front of the duegars of the lake thinking “I wonder how theyre gonna react. Worst case its only 2 of them. I can kill them” *I, in fact, could not kill them.*

Starting stats are Str 8, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 17, Wis 10, Chr 8. Picked up dual wielder feat and an int asi.

If you upcast (use a higher spell slot) on animate dead it unlocks both more of the same undeads and new types.

How do you get 100% to Phantasm'd Yurgir? My Gale only had like 35%, so this fight was carried by Laezel and Shart with featuring guests Disarming Attack and Spitir Guardians

It's thanks to Scorching Ray and Hat of Fire Acuity + Battle Mage Elixir racking up 9 stacks of Arcane Acuity. It severely raises the spell dc on our spells.
