Hell Yeah, Corporal!!! Making some delicious looking chow! Thank you, for always being the channel that’s REAL and HONEST! Can’t find content like this anywhere! Teaching the real skills that are needed. Back to needs over wants! Yes, the chow you made on this tutorial is a “luxury”. However, you’re showing how easy it is. Semper Fi, Marine

As a Marine (1964 - 1970) and a pepper I sometimes feel I have the training and mind set to accomplish what ever comes my way. Then I watch the many videos you put out to realize I don't have all the skills I thought I had to survive any given mission I might face. For that I commend you for all you put into your videos. From one Marine to another....Semper Fi

Shawn you asked for suggestions? Mine for a course would be water procurement. The other would be minimalistic shelter. The thing about it though, you've covered pretty much everything in your videos. All of them categorized and referenced on a thumb drive would be a valuable resource. A book? Something you haven't covered a lot is stealth, but who is your target audience, right? I appreciate your effort and level of motivation,Shawn. Maybe you have more of an affect than you realize. Do you man.

Camp pizza is a treat, for sure. The french bread rocks it, but I buy the pilsbury tube pizza dough out of the reefer section. It needs to be a little warmer than the reefer anyway, so bringing it into the woods works well. Un-rolls to a 12x10 rectangle so it's easy to cut to suit. It's the trad thin crust. You can also make calzones with it. Soooo good. 100% agree on the direction you're talking about. There's so much emphasis on the latest and greatest gear fetish presentations, IMO. How many knives can one actually need to get the job done? A simple review of basic compass skills would be welcomed by many.

Nice job with the pizza. I always enjoy seeing folks cook real food in the woods. This could be a good move for you. The biggest gap I've seen in the outdoors world is a lack of credentialed courses. If a school constantly moves the goal post to earn a patch or piece of paper, it makes it hard for others to know what that patch/certificate represents. If this new platform has a well developed curriculum, a well defined standard, and reliable measurable devices (tests/exams) it could be something great. Thanks for always looking forward and sharing.

When I was active duty the training that stuck with me most was extemporaneous. One was a no notice survival while on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). Was part of a group selected from our flight to be taken out and dropped off by Las Cruces. We scrounged what we could find on off our vehicles and were sent off. We had to individually orienteer to a rally point by each morning. Eventually, most of us showed up much wiser by the deadline days later in the mountains northeast of Holloman.

I have been watching for about 4 years now, but also spent time going back and watching your early videos. I loved when you did a few hiking videos in parks and caves. I think that there are some places, like Mammoth Caves (?), that exploring would harken back to those older times. You could even potentially combine it as an overnighter. On a personal note, I was hoping that you could make a video that included your son, once more, so that we can see how he is grown. Just a thought. Thanks for the info and the entertainment, which are always excellent.
