Keeping tension on the line so it doesn’t slack up and spit the hook 🤙🏼 but if I’m solo and tend to stop the boat for safety and easier to fight

land base? commercial pier all the way at the end, late evening, light tackle knocker rig with some squid.... where i was last year before the boat.

I was out there yesterday. We had a top plug on at 7 mph. What speed were you running?

I trolled through it 3 or 4 times at different speeds ranging from 5 mph 9 mph until i finally got a hit. But i think the key was to troll at whatever the speed the flock of birds was going to stay with them
