I was born and raised in Colorado. (live in L.A. now) So I can appreciate all the beauty that Utah has to offer because of it's similarities to Colorado
@AprilAdventuring8 ай бұрын
Colorado is awesome! How do you like the nature in the LA area after moving? I've been surprised by how accessible the outdoors is, even with the hiking in Runyon and Griffith just minutes away!
@SDeluxe138 ай бұрын
@@AprilAdventuring I love the nature here. Was just up near Runyon yesterday. I've be in L.A. (clears throat) a long while. I wanted to be a rockstar. And was, for a while, but damn. Thats a tough way to make a living. I did get to go around the world a few time so I got no complaints. I think you're a rockstar in your own right. You and your hiking partner on the Kalalau trail, that was some warrior sh*t there

Such a fantastic show of Canyonlands NP!! I have never been there. Just Googled it. About 8 hours away from me in Phoenix! On the list now, for sure. I believe I could spend an entire year exploring in Utah!! Thanks for sharing!
@AprilAdventuring10 ай бұрын
That would make an amazing road trip! I agree Utah is amazing. I could also spend ages exploring there and hope to return again in the upcoming years. One week wasn't nearly enough time! :)

The Mighty Five has been on my NP list for over 15 years, and I am finally going next week. I came across your videos during my research and I can't believe you drove from Seattle! We are flying to Vegas driving to all 5 NP and plus some areas outside the NPs in about 6 days. I have all the hikes you did at Canyonlands on my list. Can't wait.

That's so awesome! I wish I could relive that road trip -- maybe I'll head out there again one day and visit new spots! Let me know if you have any questions about it. If I was more on top of my editing, I would have had all my Mighty 5 videos up to help with your planning haha 🫣 Have an amazing trip!!

Thank you, Yasmin! Yes, those were deer! There were so many, especially at dawm. It was so special seeing herds of them crossing the street in the early morning ✨

That's so awesome to hear! Canyonlands wasn't even on my radar before I started planning this trip and it knocked my socks off. There was still so much to explore, especially if you have 4WD! I really want to spend more time there -- maybe in the next year or two :) Thank you for watching

Dang April, nice shots! Crazy that this is in the same country as my quaint home state of Vermont. Also, I have a theory that the colder it is, the faster you talk. Definitely noticeable during winter in VT
@AprilAdventuring10 ай бұрын
Wait that is such a funny theory! I'm going to have to pay attention and will let you know if I can confirm. 😂 Isn't it wild? Utah is unlike anywhere I've ever been. I felt like I was on another planet! Can't wait to spend more time there one day :)

@@AprilAdventuring Let me know what your research yields! 🤔 My guess is that colder climates force people to move to stay warm, which can manifest in faster talking. But what do I know

@@AprilAdventuring I love driving! But I think most of the long drives I've done have been on very boring motorways, which hasn't been the most exciting 😂 I live in South Wales and there's an island called Anglesey off of North Wales I've wanted to visit for a while, so that could be a good starting point??? Not too far from home 😁 And driving in Wales is much more exciting, far fewer motorways

@@AprilAdventuring We will probably do a little more research, but I loved your video so maybe we will start with Canyonlands. We visited Zion when our girls were little back in the late 90’s. Now that we’re retired, we can go back. In April of 2022, I drove a rental van to Palo Duro Canyon on my way to visit my daughter in Dallas. That is a place I want to see again and stay for a bit! Thanks April! I loaded a couple of slide shows of my fishing trip to Chile if you’re interested.
