Another trip to La Jolla as always, searching for the WSB, California Yellowtail and other large tasty fish that can make my fishing reel drag scream. Thanks for watching. Tight Lines!

I was out a week ago Sunday. A few other kayaks were out in pairs. After 3+ hours out, windy choppy not catching much, I started back in slowly. A younger man in a rubber boat fishing was kind of following me as I would stop and fish. He finally motored over and asked, "Do you have a radio?" I answered no and asked if he had an emergency. He said no but was concerned about me seeing I was out all by myself. I thanked him for noticing and coming over to check. Very nice!!

A floating waterproof marine radio is best, but if staying closer. to shore a Cell Phone works as long as it doesn't get in the water.

Thank you, It takes me way farther. than I thought I would ever go, especially alone. I trust it more than boats I've owned many years ago. When the fishing sucks it's still fun riding the Solo Skiff and a blast when Dolpins come over and play under and infront of the bow at speed.

Wasn't Mikey out today? I fished off MB looking for butts today. No luck.

Nice video, sub here. Question please, when drifting on incoming tide does the current move north>south or vice versa? Would like to see you land the skiff coming back in, adding more interest to the video.

I hadn't paid attention , other. than the current the majority of the time like the wind , it heads south/southeast. Yesterday i did notice on the incoming tide, the current with very little wind (approx.4mph) was heading north/northeast. later on the outgoing tide it was heading south/southeast. I like launching on incoming tide and land on out going tide. It means less dragging the Solo Skiff on the sand and less fighting the surf of the incoming tide at landing. Tight Lines!

Yellotails bite at night? Sorry been trying to figure out rod & reel.

@@chesterlapicto8063 There are conditions sometimes that can improve the chances at night of catching trophy fish.

@@chesterlapicto8063 yellows do indeed feed at night. Some of the best yellow bites are at night.
