You’re right, it sure chews through wood/fuel quickly. That being said, it is a lot of fun to use. Works well with small frying pans, ie Pathfinder 8”. I’ve had one for 4 years and really enjoy it. Cools down fairly quickly once you stop feeding it and is really easy to clean out. A bit bulky for backpacking but works well for day trips, car camping or playing around at home.

It is a great little unit. It's one of my favorite things to tote around now

I have a campfire. I use it mostly in winter because of the heat it can produce. It is transportable while biking or walking, but for this purpose in prefer tu use the lighter titan.

I'd like to get my hands on the Titan later next season. I agree, the campfire is very bulky. But it is fairly light for what it is.

The campfire is not that bulky. I still can carry it on my bike with plenty of oher stuff. But yes the titan is a good size. It is not that heavy and bulky and you can use it with larger wood pieces than with the lite. The lite is light weight ad small, but you have to feed it almost constantly. You can guees i have these 3 sroves and i love them all. I use the campfire in winter time because it produce more heat and make a nice fire camp on a table.@@tentingWT

Try wood pellets remember to put 3 starters around the edge fill to a half inch below the gasser holes will burn 50 mins enough to get dinner done 5min rolling boil in pot with lid have an old hubcaps I use as heat catcher/reflector when I use it as camp fire , Nb if you add pellets onto of pellet coals it smothers the fire and smokes. That's when it start top feeding real wood to it from the top .the pellets are great to cook with no feeding once the become hot embers sit the one inch thick wood to it will burn bright❤

What is your fire mat made out of?
@tentingWT4 ай бұрын
It's fiberglass cloth covered in high heat silicone . It works very well, although I have had hot coals scorch the ground below the mat before.

Is that something you can buy? Or did you make your own. And is that what those are meant for? Do you have a link to them? Thanks for your reply! Loved the video, I am going to get one of those solo campfire stoves for my canoe tripping

@@John-vi4ys I purchased mine from Amazon. The one I have is no longer being made, but if you search "solo stove fire mat" on Amazon a few really nice ones come up. They are only 20-30 bucks Canadian, and totally worth the money. I have yet to destroy mine in all the trips I have taken. Thanks for watching! I really love my solo stove, and I think you will too. I take mine camping all the time. Let me know how it works out for you!
