Very impressive, thanks. As a warrior MT in a 10man dad guild that will be starting HLK prog soon I think we'll stick to 2 tanking this for quite a while though. I've worked out a Safeguard macro that seems promising for mitigating Reapers on our druid. It taunts first, then Intervenes him instantly. Basically he taunts a few sec before SR, I run out and when SR comes I press the macro so he's Safeguarded every Reaper tick and no threat is lost to intervene. I'm also playing around with T9 4set so I can SB every time he has hasted melees but not sure it's necessarily worth it. Thanks for pointing out that Reaper ticks can't be resisted also, now our druid can get rid of his shadow res set lmao

Nice idea with the macro, let me know how that goes. I'd just ditch the T9 4 pc and go for higher ilvl gear

Hey again Subtle. We've killed HC LK a few times now and I can confirm the macro works like a charm so I recommend it for all protwarrs to add an extra layer of safety for the OT incase healers aren't on the ball.

That was clean af. Is that libram of defiance you're swapping in and out? Does it have a chance to proc off of every hammer of righteous bounce on the adds as opposed to stacking up the dodge from libram of the eternal tower?

Yah it's libram of defiance. In the future I'll just run valiance the whole time. Think it procs on cast and not on damage, so should be same proc chance either way. Just didn't have the eternal tower yet

Hey Subtle, I thought that Sindragosa’s Fang would work on Soul Reaper too, but when you look the spell up on WoWhead it says the first hit is Physical and then the 2nd part is unresistable, do you know if it actually helps mitigate it?

Hey, so the first part of Soul Reaper is resistable but the 2nd part isn't. You can see this on logs here: classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/rKA3x1GzNpZVqWn6#fight=46&type=damage-taken&source=179&ability=69409&view=events The "R:" part means how much you resisted in case you aren't familiar with how that's shown on logs

Hey Subtle! We find ourselves often split tanking with 1 tank just on LK and eating reapers and the other soaking spirits... on H is Reaper survivable with just 1 CD like Salv or Sac, or do you always have to stack them to stay alive?

Hey, you don't always need to stack them, especially with the 10% buff we have now. In phase 3 you should only need a CD for the first Soul Reaper out of each Frostmourne room too. So for that one I'll use wall or PS and the 2nd one out of each room the Soul Reaper tick coincides with him stopping to channel Vile Spirits, so that one you aren't getting a tick and hasted melees at the same time. I either don't use anything for that one or throw something small like just a Salv for the Soul Reaper initial hit

Im deff gunna have to do this I was thinking tho NO OTHER CLASS Could do this at the current momment ARDANT TO OP, Also when your using your Salv/Dsac for a big personal are using using cancel aura on the dsac? ON bosses who hit super hard I tend to always use cancel macro anyway sick video cant wait to give it a go! Also why not wear the rep ring instead of fate's clutch does LK Parry haste?

Yah I cancel d sac anytime I'm already personally taking high damage, so definitely do that here. I meant to use the rep ring but just forgot to grab it (messed up item restore and only have one rep ring atm)

Delete an exalted ring, ask him for a new ring, change it to whatever one you want, then restore the deleted ring

Quick question @subtlefw (Laylaloon here ) When solotanking LK fight, wouldnt be better or somewhat different to go with SoC than Veng? And make up that lost expertise with 1 or 2 items?

SoV is better for cleave that lasts 40~ secs or more and biggest thing we want in Phase 1 in LK threat and damage anyway. SoC will just do extra ghoul snap threat, which isn't necessary. In p2 you could use SoC briefly for the valk

We separate the boss from the adds on normal 25m for the disease Is that not needed? It's okay to stack the boss and mobs together?

If you're doing a 2 tank start I would have the adds a little bit away from the boss to make disease drop offs easier and reduce risk of a jump to melee

He was having some issues seeing the enrage on his nameplates this one I think and kinda missed em. In previous pulls he was doing great at getting enrages off fast. I think this strat really is the easiest way to kill the boss. The extra damage just makes the fight so much easier

On heroic the valks drop their target once they reach 50% and then they hangout in the mid and pelt the raid the rest of the phase
