Thank you very much, I spent countless hours on researching tents and my search has ended here. I had the Snow Peak Land Nest in my shopping cart and hesitate to click on the purchase bar. I purchased most of my camping gear from Snow Peak and I thought to stay with this Brandt to have everything the same and also to finally get to the highest Snow Peak loyalty level. I appreciate your video because it featured the Springbar tent that is perfect for me. It meets all of the criterias that I value. Starting with the materials, made in the USA and the transparency of information about their product . Kind regards

Love the Springbar. The only suck is returning home and having to dry it thoroughly. I know, I have a Family Camper 7 and there have been at least five rainy trips I've had in the past several years after which a multi-day effort was required in drying it out before putting it away bone dry. Nice YT channel, Ryan. I subscribed. Cheers.

Just came upon your video...Funny I just spoke to my Nephew this morning as I am old, but prepared for anything, and he and his wife are very active Backpackers, but I said, if something should happen to me, you need to go thru my shelves of Camping equipment. I have it all in case the SHTF and I have seasoned. What I didn't season was my Wood Stove, because I didn't know how, so in this Video I don't need a Hot Tent, I can just do anytime. Thank you for that and thank you for the calmness of your video. Loved your cot but not affordable for me, nor is much you use. Insane pricing from Japan. I love my country and try to buy USA Materials, though aren't they all bought and sold. Yikes. Our Country is sad.

What a great video. Thank you Ryan! I have the same IGT chair and table. I love the sturdiness of the chair, though I don't feel it comfortble because it don't have a lower back support. How does it compare to your other chairs?
@rtmadani6 ай бұрын
Hey, thank you, really happy to hear you liked it! I’m really enjoying the simplicity of the IGT Slim and luxury low chairs. Snow peak sells a pillow for lumbar support, I’m not sure if you’ve already tried it. Seems like it gets mixed reviews, but I think for lumbar it might do the trick. My other chairs offer less support than the beach chairs.

I have a Campsite 3 (no longer made) which is 7' x 10', just a little smaller than your Classic Jack (which you also filmed). I've been considering getting the Compact for the lighter weight and smaller packing size. I was wondering if the difference between the Compact and your Classic Jack (the Campsite in my case) is significant enough to warrant downsizing. Based on the size of my Campsite, it seems like the specs of the Compact may be overstated on their website. Would you be able to provide the rolled up dimensions and weight of the tent body? I'm also curious to know if you prefer it to a nylon 2 or 3 person tent. Except for the stakes, it's quite easy to put up, but I do worry about packing it up wet when on extended solo road trips.
@rtmadani2 ай бұрын
Between my Vagabond, Classic Jack, and Compact it's hard to pick a favorite, but I really like the Compact for what it is. The tent body and poles are significantly lighter feeling. Setup is even quicker, as it's a mini version of the other models (not a ton of tent fabric to unroll/pack up etc.) And dry time is even simpler as it's much smaller and easier to hang. Also for reference, I hang dry all my tents on a rack in my garage and loading my classic jack or vagabond really puts that rack to the test and takes a lot more effort to hang up because of the weight. Here are the dimensions/weight: - 24in long x18in wide x 9 in Depth - 27.6lbs tent body only Keep in mind you can roll that tent much smaller and use the straps it comes with but I personally don't. I'd say if you're looking into something a little more manageable you won't regret the Compact.

You know, watching your video, it becomes clear that you need a shower system ^^ If so, you could use the Domatic solely for drinking water and showering off dishes and stuff properly with a Ridge Monkey (if you got power) or something with a manual pump ;)

Oh... and grats for the SP sponsoring. Earned it!
@rtmadani6 ай бұрын
Thank you! A shower system would be an awesome addition. I’ve looked into them in the past but haven’t chosen one yet. Is that the brand you’re using?
@Mushroom_Samba6 ай бұрын
@@rtmadani Yeah, that we own. We also looked a lot, but the supply range in Germany often is kind of disappointing. For us it was important to have it powered for a nice steady stream showering. We got the Ridgemonkey Outdoor Power Shower. 15 litres our bucket can carry and holds a gently pressure for a couple of minutes. Enough for 2 people to shower off. And enough pressure to clean dishes properly (some vids are on @paso_camping you follow ;) Cons are: The bucket is not really leak free. Having it in a car fully loaded, the waters swaps out a bit. We are trying to upgrade it with a rubber seal. Maybe because all is plastic I have overdone it with the screwing and they say not to fill it up to the top ;) ... then, because it is powered you do have to refill a bit more often, which is the downside of a nice steady stream (though I dont care, setting prios). A bigger bucket is no solution because then it gets really really heavy to carry around. And as my dear wife says, it is not really pretty with the glowy green ring thingies. Yeah, all in all though, I am happy with it. And you can warm up a bit water on your stove to mix it with the colder one from the Ridgemonkey.

Bought another Springbar huh, Was the other one too big?
@rtmadani6 ай бұрын
The compact is a lot more manageable to bring along. Even before I bought my Springbar Vagabond, I was debating getting the compact instead. Springbar sent me this tent to try along with the new classic jack that was just released this month. I think paired with a cot, you have plenty of space and it could easily work for longer trips as well. It’s pretty much all the things I like about springbar tents but lighter.
@barfly796 ай бұрын
@@rtmadani I had the same tent but the Kodiak version. They are great for one person. I used it for a few years but got tired of having to tarp it - it's a whole process to dry out once you are home if it gets damp or wet. But, they are bomb proof and very comfortable. Great video all around, nice to see the new table and other gear. I'm on the fence with the SP sleeping bag!
@rtmadani6 ай бұрын
@barfly79 Nice, yeah they’re great minimalistic solo tents but your right, they require some extra care when you get home to properly dry. The SP sleeping bags have been pretty good so far for mild weather in the 40s. They’re large to pack, especially if two are zipped together, but it’s nice that it doesn’t feel at all like a traditional sleeping bag and more like a bed.

Hello, Ryan :) I’m a big fan of your content. I do have a question, sorry to bother. I’m new to camping and I’d hate to admit that I’m scared of wild animals. Can I ask for tips or how you personally avoid things like bears or where I’m from theres boars and coyotes. I saw that you threw away your dish water a couple of yards away from your tent. Is there anything else specific you do?
@rtmadani4 ай бұрын
Hey, thank you for bringing up this question, definitely an important topic and too often neglected by many campers. The best thing you can do to avoid an encounter is to keep a clean campsite free of trash and any food, especially if you plan on leaving your site for a hike or to bed. We keep our trash stored in a Husky waterproof bin away from the tent, but while we are cooking, we use a smaller dry bag style Sea to Summit brand trash bag and dispose of it when full in the Husky Bin. Try to avoid anything scented inside your tent even toothpaste, lotions etc. can be a problem with mice. At night, we lock up our cooler and dry food bin in our vehicle. In the daytime while you are present, it would be pretty rare for an encounter, but it's not a bad idea if you know your in area with these animals to have bear spray or similar. Personally, I don't bring any bear spray, but I do keep my car keys close at hand and if a bear were to enter my site, I would just press the panic button alarm, which should scare it off. Essentially, properly storing food/trash and scented items away from your tent when you're asleep or away is key to prevent an encounter. Hope this helps and thanks again for bringing this up!
