I've enjoyed the fact that you love to eat, and seeing all of the dishes you get. This was enjoyable because I got to see some dishes I had never heard of and get a description and review from you. More of these will be appreciated. Also, any unique aspects of the cities/areas you visit would be interesting as well.

I like that sometimes you "talk" (well, give us subtitles) in the video as if we're there with you haha "we'll meet at Hakata station and then we'll go to Ichiran" feels a bit more personal. My favorite part weirdly enough gotta be the furin, absolutely loved the sound they make!!! Note to self: don't watch food videos while hungry. Now I want ramen hahahahaha

It really is quite clean, especially compared to neighboring South Korea which doesn't do a very good job with waste management, which I lived in for 5 years. I recall walking the streets of Ginza and the streets were spotless with not even a hint of trash.

It's not fancy, but it is very good: I love zaru soba. It's easy to make, it's not very expensive, and it is by far one of the best cold-noodle dishes around, to me. Just boiled buckwheat soba noodles chilled, then laid out on that cute little bamboo mat with green onion bits and crispy little nori strips on top. The ritual of getting a portion in chopsticks, anointing it with the delicious soba sauce, and slurping that taste up is oddly soothing and satisfying to me, all at once.

I've loved seeing the capsule accommodations, the tatami mat cabins and everything in between! Makes me want to travel on ferries if I ever go to Japan! Another wonderful video... My favorite Japanese food is Soba, any style of traditional Soba (hot or zaru). Sadly, here in the States, there's a big fad for Ramen, but not many places that serve Soba - even in San Francisco's Japantown. The two biggest Japanese things I miss are food and ofuro/onsen (they just aren't the same here in the US). Can't wait to return to Japan!

Ah, I remember eating at the underground Ichiran restaurant in March 2019. My parents had just flown in to Fukuoka on a Friday, and I happened to have had a stressful day at work, so the moment I got home, I packed my bag for a weekend trip and took the train straight from Nagasaki to meet them. We had supper at that very same restaurant. The next time you’re in the Hakata area, try checking out Ikkousha - my father really loves the ramen at its sister shops in Melbourne, Australia.
