Welcome to the start of my Copenhagen vlog series! This is a trip I've dreamed about for a while and I was so excited to finally make it a reality. I absolutely loved shopping the Stroget, eating the most incredible Danish food, seeing Nyhavn and exploring all around the city during my first day and a half. I share a ton of visuals of Copenhagen and, of course, some of my usual chit chat :).

Denmark here, regarding money, I do not live in Copenhagen which is a more expensive place to live, but I earn around US$255 to $360 a day, depending on the hours and day of the week, and my present part-time job as a night watch with no degree required (though I do have one) is nothing fancy.

Looks lovely! How do you find solo traveling? Do you take any precautions? Do you eat dinner out or order takeout? Thinking of doing my first solo trip either to Copenhagen or London! I'm from Norway, so Copenhagen is probably the easiest, but I also love and miss London. The only thing I'm worried about is walking around at night/after dark and if someone were to steal my phone or something haha

It’s always important to be aware of your surroundings anywhere you go, but Copenhagen felt very very safe (more so than where I live in Canada, that’s for sure)! I never felt unsafe at all in the areas I was in. That being said, I generally try to be back to my hotel shortly after dark (around 9-10pm usually) anywhere I travel and the phone leash/strap that I bought for Paris was really handy to just give me peace of mind about not losing or dropping my phone! I’ll usually eat out because I find that more relaxing than eating in a hotel room ☺️. Norway must be amazing, I’d love to visit someday!

If you do choose London, it’ll be that much busier so would recommend the phone strap and some sort of crossbody bag you keep on your person 🫶🏻

@@morganberna I actually ended up ordering my first solo trip to Copenhagen tonight 🙈 low-key scared, but also excited! I have a chronic illness that is a big hinderance in my life, so this will be my first proper vacation since 2019. I’m leaving on Wednesday already!!

Almost everyone I talked to was fluent in English! And the writing everywhere was available in English ☺️

To be honest, spend your money on good food but stay clear of the restaurant beverage prices. I mean, any kind of alcohol, bottled water and soda's are not really expensive in a grocery store and is of the same quality, so this is where you get "robbed" when going to a fast-food chain or a restaurant, and not really the food itself, that will be worth the price and quality.
