Ive got one recently when I had to avoid 4 enemies to sink my ship for about a minute so I was whirling around like crazy. And I was playing.... Caracciolo. That was epic.

I got mine on a cv, ended up near the bottom of the scoreboard, but enemy team wasnt able to kill me before timer ran out, my entire team had gotten steamrolled but we had the caps

Ye i just got mine too by capping and running vs idiots that brought all their slow BBs to the far corner to kill a CV. On low tiers i don't think solo warrior is that hard to get. You just need 2 braincells vs their 1.

You literally can get it without shooting anyone if you go AFK... all you need is for your team to win it for you but die while 4 enemy ships remain alive. Typically if the enemy team has lots of edge sailing BBs who dont want to take damage & all the cruisers and destroyers die, its often a situation where a team has all the caps and the enemy can't or won't cap before the game ends. Unfortunately its often gotten by the most useless or even AFK team members 😕

@@BlakeWR81 I just realized I got one with a CV 2 years ago 😳 😅 Didnt even know I had it. What im sure of is Ive had games more deserving on it like 6 out of 7 kills, most of them above half health... while my team was all dead inside of 12 minutes, but the last one must have died seconds after I deleted the 4th enemy.. leaving me with only 3 and a points deficit Arizona isn't fast enough to get caps and I ended up getting the last BB (which had full health, I had ~15k left) with 2 Salvos,fired the second with 6 seconds on the clock and think it said 2 seconds when he popped. He was dumb enough to turn full broadside, so I managed to get him with what would have been the last Salvo of the match.. 4 citadels, just enough to wipe ~30ish k... I managed to angle just enough to not be deleted though he certainly could have killed me if he'd aimed at the upper belt :) I have the replay somewhere.. been meaning to save it.. but definitely happy with that game.. I I sort of wish Solo Warrior was more based on doing damage and killing over 75% of the enemy team or something like that. As it is its just incredibly niche to even have a chance at it and backline campers stand the best chance (which is counterproductive for the team) My CV one would probably have been low health enemies left over and/or cap advantage and running away..... can't say I deserved it... CVS in general rarely do.

I achieved it once. In my Krasny Krym of all vessels. Featured on a YT video aswell, funny as hell. Just as the countdown timer hit 0 you could see shells flying in just about to impact when the match was decided in my favour on points.

Yeah those last shots in a battle can be very decisive. I once shoot 15km to help my division mate in his DD against a cruiser. I didn't even expect to hit him as both were maneuvering like hell to avoid the other ones fire. I got a lucky hit, citadelled him and he was gone. Only two minutes to go the enemy needed to sink one of us to turn around the tides as it was a standard battle and we gained points as fast as them. But there was no one in sight with low enough HP, just us two surviving battleships bow on to theirs. Yes those shells coming in the last second can really be stressful. ;)

You should get an award just for playing the KK.... that was the last time I bought a ship just for the heck of it, without first studying it carefully and listening to the youtube crew to find out if it was worth it or now. He'll yea it's fukkin difficult. I've been playing I think a year and a half. Right when season 5 of ranked and when the Russian dds where in early access. I've only managed to get solo warrior 6 times. My last time was April 22 2021... totally sprucing the last time I got it was 4-22-21 in a Phoenix during ranked T3!!!! Lol! If it wasn't ranked I'd probably never got it on the Phoenix! ! Or any medal. I've probably played it maybe 10 times or so. Enuff to unlock the Omaha. Hate the Omaha just about as much.. except my first 20 or so matches in the Omaha. The gun amounts. I'd just dodge left and right to shoot one side of the ship to the other and I was murdering bbs even. Rarely dying. But then all of a sudden I started getting citadel 9 out of 10 shots! Why I had 20 or 30 great matches Killin every Class of ship. Maybe I was just playing newbs like myself. Idk. But it's on legends for xbox. I suppose it could be harder to achieve on PC?

In my 4000 matches, I have only gotten 3 solo warriors, and I actually remember all 3 matches :) Edit: heyy I got as many as you do! Nice ^^ I've been playing on and off since 2017, guess I got pretty lucky xp I got one with Galissonniere, one with Buffalo and only about 2 weeks ago one with Cossack. Really proud of them, especially the cossack one, I had to duel a half HP Flint and a half HP izumo consecutively to get that one, and I only had 3000 HP the entire time! Got really lucky with a torp hit on izumo at the end, finished him and the match with only 15 seconds to spare. I sent the replay to jingles but I don't think he will show it because the damage at the end was only 135k. Still really proud of that though :)

My one Solo Warrior came relatively early on, in my Mahan. I was the last ship alive (obviously) with a CV in play, and I just sat in my smoke because we were ahead on points and time was ticking out. I knew my smoke would dissipate before the game ended, though, so I full accelerated with like 5 seconds left on the smoke, which was enough to throw off the rocket planes (attack planes, maybe, it might have been during RTS CVs). He couldn't get around to strike me again, and all the shells from enemy ships missed due to my charging out of the smoke at full steam. Time ticked out, and bam, Solo Warrior. That was in my first 500-1,000 games, and I haven't gotten another in ~2,000 games since. What's even more amazing is that I SUCK at playing destroyers, to the point that I gave up because I'm just handicapping my team. My overall DD PR is like 400. But for that one game, I won it for us.

5:30 Re, AA on or off Just FYI for people who don't know: it's "P" to turn AA on or off. If AA is off, you can also turn it on by pressing "O" to set a priority sector, skipping the "P" key press.

Yes, also the squiggle key (whatever is to the left of the 1 key) to set your AA sector. Yes they have 2 keys set for Priority sector lol.

@@Texas240 Like iv said....I think WG FORGOT Carriers attack in WAVES, and have set up the AA to only work vs SQUADRENS, i mean for god sake the Spectator cam half the time doesn't even SHOW the planes pealing off in waves it just shows the whole squadron attacks. Cus the AA DAMAGE slowly chews though the entire squadron ONE AT A TIME, where as FLAK can hit the entire squadron for Massive damage, particularly when Def AA is also active (+300% to FLAK damage, and remember most flak does almost 2000 damage normally). Like iv blasted entire Japanese squadrens out of sky at pure random with Def AA active.

Got my one and only Solo Warrior on August von Parseval. It was about a year ago, when German CVs were hyped AF. It was also one of my best CV battle ever. Fact worth mentioning is that, apart from 3 other ships, I destroyed full hp Kaga from the enemy team :D I believe I even got a replay of that on my old computer.

Over 8,000 ranked and random battles and I've only managed this four times. None on a carrier and none since the captain skills rework. I know the last one I kept saying "oh man I'm dead now" and just eeked it out; also none versus a CV. Truly well played sir.

A good rule of thumb is every plane kill is 1 min, once reserves are running low. If we're 10 min into a game and you take out a full squad of planes, you might not see that type of planes around much any more, at definitely not a full squad. If you only take out 1-2 planes you'll see a full squad of those again before too long.

Got my first one back in the day in Anshan. And it was a ranked battle too! There was those weird caps close to each other, 2 of us were left with some cruiser. A Fuso came in and blocked my cap, i set him on fire, which he repaired instantly, i torped and got behind an island. The other guy died, than the Fuso coming after me ate the torps and flooded to death. Flood was a thing back then. Then the clock started ticking and i realized they cannot get me in time. I could not believe i made it. Got one in Zao, where everyone died, and i was running from 2 BBz, shooting like crazy, and one of them, a GK being closer, he died. Than i saw a lot of red comments calling him idiot, i did not understand what is happening as they had all the caps, and all the ships. I was just fighting and waiting for the end. But as the GK died i was not spotted any more, and the time ran out with our team having more points as the GK went down. I had no idea at all, especially when the results screen came and saw i got Solo Warrior

I got my first in the Belfast. Both teams went YOLO to a far corner of the map and I won the 1v1 on the other side against a DD who had no clue what they were doing. Our team lost hard and I capped smoking up on base in an 8v1. In DD's I've come close to a true 5v1 kill win a couple times against BB heavy teams, but it's hard. I've never gotten it purely off of kills alone. It's always points or caps.

I got it once in a Sinop, won a 1v5, in the thick of the fighting begining to end, and got a cap reset with the cap at 100 on a blindfired salvo. It was the ultimate hero play.

I have 6 Solo Warrior ribbons between two accounts; 2 or 3 the alt account with less than 1,000 battles. Of course surviving the full duration, to be present for the opportunity, and knowing the game is requisite. Beyond that, I find they're largely founded on luck of combined circumstances--the opportunity--and fully using your brain in the moment to opportunistically make your own luck. The combination of circumstances that set you up for the opportunity typically depend on a coin-toss of bone-headed plays on both teams. It's 200 IQ play among a whole bunch of 20 IQ random players.

In the years I played, I only earned Solo Warrior twice. Once in the Benson, and once in the Fubuki back it was t8. Both of them happened in Standard Battle, with me killing the last defenders and capping the enemy's base before their offense capped mine.

My first Solo Warrior, received years ago, I did not earn it at all. I had just started a match in Kongo, had only landed three shells, when my four year old proceeded to throw a tantrum just when my wife was leaving for the gym, forcing me to quit from the match. At that time I was sailing at 30 knots semi-perpendicular to some enemy BBs that were at about 15-20km away and trading sporadic fire. Each team had only lost two ships. Best guess is that after quitting my ship proceeded in the direction I left it and sailed at 30 knots into some obscure corner of the map far from where the action happened. My team proceeded to go up on points while getting eliminated leaving a situation in which my uncontrolled Kongo was the last ship left on my team with four or more enemy ships still up, but my team having run up enough points that the enemy couldn't win in any way other than sinking my Kongo and not having enough time to find and/or sink me, hence I got an AFK Solo Warrior. My second Solo Warrior was very much better, one where I had to actively participate even more than Potato Quality did here. It was only my second time out in Nelson having just bought her earlier that night. Here is my writeup at the time: I was middle Tier in a VI to VIII match on Two Brothers with my team spawning around the B cap. I was on the D cap side so I opted to head for D to support our ships there. Other than getting First Blood on an Edinburgh that pushed to aggressively the early and mid game was nothing to write about, we took at early lead in caps, holding three at one point, and in kills being four up before the enemy scored a single kill, looked like it was heading to an easy win, then things started falling apart. Our Bismarck on my flank pushed too hard and got focused down. The problem I saw developing was that our two DDs on the D flank were very passive and the whole tempo was being driven by the enemy Benson and Jervis. The enemy Benson took quite a bit of punishment and our DDs decided it was time to go for the kill and advanced into the enemy fire and between the two enemy DDs and the enemy's KGV and Bismarck both went down without taking anything with them, though one torpedoed the Bismarck fairly hard. The enemy Bismarck was pushing too hard, that is how he got torpedoed, now well forward, broadside on and low health I finished him off for my second kill. The enemy had now captured D cap, which we had held for a bit, and sunk everything we had on the A flank, but at the cost of all of their ships save a DD (I don't recall which, I never saw it), so a bloodbath, but the enemy had come back from a losing four before getting a single kill to having five ships to our two, my Nelson and a Bayern that was also on the D flank, and who sank the last enemy cruiser just as he sank. This left me against the enemy KGV and three DDs, but I didn't notice that until I'd sunk the KGV as I was focused on not giving too much broadside and watching for where the Benson and Jervis might be, I knew their general locations only. The KGV had come around the top of the island at C9, which was good for us as all the enemy had to do to win from this point is stay alive while the third DD from A flank capped A and then B, but KGV was out of position and couldn't turn away from me. He did get some good hits in, but he went down leaving me on about 12-15k health with one heal left, though it would only get me up to 24-25k if I used it, due the potential it had I held off as long as I could. I had been angled against the KGV and heading northeast towards the island at C9, but knowing there were two DDs in that general direction I turned away as fast as I could and began to kite away feeling that Nelson was too clumsy to avoid close range torpedo launches from multiple DDs, and I certainly didn't have the health to survive them. I knew the third DD was in A cap because it was in the process of being flipped. Now, the enemy DDs ought to have just bugged out and forced me to sail into their torpedoes or lose on points as the DD in A could proceed to B, and even if I prevented its capture our points lead wasn't enough to win without getting the points from owning B uncontested. The Jervis saw things otherwise, and given he was full health had some room to play, he started shooting me. I returned fire, now using HE for the first time ever on Nelson, but his dodging was very effective, though I did push him back. He did enough damage that I felt I had to use my final heal so as to be able to survive a torpedo hit if it happened. As Jervis fell back the Benson made a critical error and opened fire on me. As fast as I could I brought all nine guns to bear and, as he vanished, fired at his location, one shell found its mark and the Benson went down. Jervis rejoined the action, but with the time remaining, even though we'd now lost even B cap there was simply nothing the DDs could do to sink me in the time remaining and while it was very close, seconds making the difference, the points gained/lost when the Benson sank put the enemy just out of reach and we won by 13 points. I didn't realize until the results screen that the Bayern had gone down before the KGV, so the Solo Warrior was a surprise to go with the First Blood, Dreadnought and Fireproof.

I really wish there were more achievements in the game to reward different play styles. Things they could create achievements for (but won't because where's the $$$): -Following Sees: 50k+ spotting damage in one match -Love at First Sight: 10 ships spotted in one match -Witness Me: Stay spotted for 70%+ of the total match time -Tis But a Scratch: Tank 1.5M+ potential damage -Can't Touch This: Dodging potential damage (a ratio of potential damage vs how much actual damage you took) -Old Ironsides: Bounce x # of shells in a single match -Sleep with the Fishes: 10+ torpedo hits or 50k+ torpedo damage in one match -What are you Doing, Big Step Bro?: Torpedo a DD in a CA or BB -Repair Party Pooper: X # of Incapacitations and/or destroyed modules in one match -Pulling your Weight: Performing well at bottom tier -Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork: Performing well w/o getting a kill -PTFO: Defending/contesting the cap x # of times in one match -Unicum and Get Some: Winning x # of matches in a row -Living on the Edge: Win a match with 5% or less health (from WoT) -Clear Skys and Smooth Sailing: Congratulations, you played in a match without a CV. Fucking wow!

Solo warrior is a bit weird, it's a rare award, and it's also extremely luck based. I got one a few months back in Hindenburg and honestly, I didn't feel like I've earned any award in that game, I was middle of the pack in terms base XP, with my only good move of the match recognizing the score and cap situation, kite away and not impaling myself into the enemy remaining ships like my teammates. By contrast, yesterday, I was in Ibuki, already with a decent game, but it was a 2 (me and another Ibuki) vs 4 at the end, and I knew I had to take risks to reset 2 Musashis and a Seatlle without dying to maintain our points advantage, I managed that, dodging reasonably, and with some HP margin, but it was not a comfortable play given how squishy Ibuki can be. In the end, this game felt a lot more rewarding with me and my teammate topping the scoreboard (kuddoes to him, he also played it really well).

One of my favorite parts of the sweedish dds (other than all the other great parts) is the cv counterplay. Having the juxtaposition of having good enough AA to swat squadrons out of the sky but still having to maintain your stealth makes it more interesting. Now the question is, when will wg let us shoot flak shells with the main guns?

I got a solo warrior twice in my entire 6 year career. Once in RTS lexington back in 2017 and in Des Moines in late 2019.

I will never forget my first solo warrior. It was in a Bismark in an T8/9 match. 2 BB's on my side where pushing in on another side of the map and i was isolated against an Izumo on the other side of the map. They died and started talking crap about me not helping. So i am 1v5. I killed the Izumo and pushed in from the flank i was on and drew the kill happy other teams guys to me. By the end i had a Kracken and my first Solo Warrior. I have had 3 or 4 more Solo Warrior's since but that is one i will always remember if for no other reason to shove it the face of the other guys on my own team who talked crap. That is why i never talk crap on chat, you never know how things may turn out.

I've played 9,697 battles currently and have gotten solo warrior 3 times, .0003% I believe. Last one was in the Alsace in a T10 match, so it was a great battle. I remember slaughtering a Hindenburg point blank just before he could torp me, while simultaneously dodging torps from an invisible destroyer, then keeping the turn and killing him as well as he appeared.

For me the most impressive number of Solo Warriors was held by EsaTuunanen on EU server. He has 13, but he stopped playing around 2 1/2 years ago. Go figure :-) Slowly us veterans are catching up.

I've managed to get 2 in total. First was about 2 years ago and it was purely from capping enemy base. 2nd was in last ranked as a Yugumo. It ended intense requiring me while being last on my team kill a BB to stop a cap and kill at least 1 more ship before time run out to flip score last second.

i got a solo warrior+ kraken in ranked once. in the end it was a 2v4, destroyers only. my teammate traded but went down first, leaving me in 1v3 against 3 heavily damaged destroyers in my aigle and i ended up killing all 3 of them. that was quite the game.

Got my first Solo Warrior this week in the Tier 6 Farrugut. Fought hard for the first cap, stole the second cap, and ran out of time to take the third. War Gaming should issue a permanent Solo Warrior Camoflauge for all shipts but CVs.

Last i got was 1 year ago i believe in the Gremyaschy. I ended up in a 1 vs 5 with a T6 CV on enemy team. Down on points and caps. So i tried to run down their carrier, but ran into a Nurnberg who seemed to be stuck or AFK(??), as i turned for one of the caps, and dropped the torps in his direction. Believe it ended in a doublestrike since i ran into the Mutsuki who were scouting in front of a full hp Omaha. So i smoked into the cap and waited for the Omahas move. I switched to AP as the smoke was about to run out, So on with speedboost, and just as i was about to leave i got caught in his hydro. He was greedy so it was very easy to citadel him to death. With no smoke i knew that the CV would never let me take the last, so i ran after him and nearly got him as the timer went out! A little luck but felt soooooo good!!

I have been playing WoWs on and off since 2016. OK. More off than on as I have less that 4k games. The one solo warrior that I remember was while sailing an Emerald in a T7 match. This was memorable as there was a player on the other team that got a kraken (5 kills) and was only the #3 player in XP. Kill stealing like a pro. It ended up being a just run out the clock and I saw it coming and made certain I couldn't be killed. Not pretty, but it was a solo warrior in a -2 match. I think if more people learned to play caps and watch points better, the award would be a lot more common.

I had that achievement once only and I was very lucky to have it. I was in the Maass and we were losing fast on Heaven so I decided to go cap the enemy base, enemy Shokaku was near but kept attacking my teamates, sinking them. He went for me too late, I smoked up and moved, he missed and I caped. There also three other ships on the enemy team trying to reach my base... Not to mention his team must have been really salty with their CV... A second time I nearly got it, I was in the Ibuki, my first 200 k game ever, but there were only three enemy ships left at the end. If only our Ognevoi go rekt before claiming his last kill, I would have had my second Solo Warrior. I capped the last cap point and fled to the edge of the map to win on points.

I've only gotten this achievement once. And it was in the Cleveland, when it was a t6 ship

Got only one in Siegfried. I sunk three ships toward the end game and secured just enough points to win few seconds before time's out.

I got the Solo Warrior once, I really had to fight for it and we nearly lost that game when an enemy light cruiser made the mistake firing at me instead of just getting the last cap for his team. That enabled me to finish him off with a salvo from my North Carolina. After that I still nearly died as I was really down on health. With the longest 20 seconds ever, waiting to get dark, to survive through the last seconds to win that battle. I still need to thank my team for their great effort and what they did defending two caps for such a long time, even getting three caps for a short time. And there is the point why I still think, the title Solo Warrior is somehow wrong. It is more a Solo Survivor because without the help of the team I would say no one will ever get a Solo Warrior. Perhaps one out of a 10 million battles might be a real one. Normally it is surviving and doing the right thing to bring the win the team fought for home. Yes, most times you still need to do things, like me killing that ship, so that we got just 20 points more in the end, but still without the effort of my team I don't think I would got it. See we had a very hard battle. Our CV was the whole time AFK. He never moved, never was found and did literally nothing. It was shortly after they invented, that AFK ships will get 0 XP. We were really fighting on the edge, but in the end we were only three against five. My fellow warrior was as barely alive as I was and about one minute before the time would have run out we were taken out. First him and only a few second later I was sunk too. Even their CV wasn't able to find and attack our CV in the short time remaining. So our CV won the game, got 0 XP for being AFK and still got the Solo Warrior. That was such a pain to see and so unfair when you see how hard others have to fight to get that medal.

Got my Solo Warrior on my Baltimore (my first and only T8 at the time) in a T10 match by knowing when to run away (and thanks to better concealment than the enemy des moines)

Solo warriors are funny to get. Didn't get one in 3 years of playing and then recently 3 in one month haha. First was a 1v6 in My neptune. I had to rush out in front of the whole enemy team to finish off two ships, before I somehow managed to dodge all shells and hide for the last few seconds. The other two where just boring running away and winning on points while my team suicides.

I got mine when the whole team threw after getting slightly ahead, after that it was an intense game of cat and mouse with me trying to maintain a 2 cap advantage without getting spotted. I went to cap and found the CV instead which I promptly killed and finally won.

The only solo warrior I've ever achieved was with the Roon. My team had gotten far too greedy and nearly threw an easy win, and luckily the enemy team got too full of themselves and didn't go for caps and chased me for the rest of the game. It was good kiting practice

I only got one solo warrior so far. After half time I was 1vs6 in a Hiryu. JEJE CV... And it was the old RTS one. I killed all 6 before the time was over :P

I have one solo each on the Na and EU servers. The EU server was in the Budy and was an outright carry. The NA was in the Sims watching my team throw a blowout away... and then one red BB just had to push around an Island.. with his guns pointed the wrong way.....

My first and only Solo Warrior was in my Shimakaze in a 6 v 6 Ranked. 1 v 5, I already killed 1, then goes on to torp 3 more BB's and guns down another Shimakaze for 2 consecutive Double Strikes. We win on points before I can get the last one.

I got mine because my team just tried too hard and I had to get a kill to make sure my team got the win. It was lucky as hell. We were going to win and then almost lost and won again. And it was in the minekaze. I won because of torps hitting a cruiser. It was amazing and my buddy was playing with me and it was a great fun battle.

I got a solo warrior in a game where I died. A Missouri got a lucky volley on my Georgia at the the exact moment the points ticked to 1000. The MO survived the battle but lost. I died and got a Solo Warrior and the win. Obviously no one on our team survived. My only Solo Warrior on my account.

I have 2 Solo warriors, one in lexington and one in Hindenburg. But i have to say that i did not win on caps with my lexington but i brawled a third-hp bismarck and won. The hindenburg one was really deserved

I actually have one, I was only one alive with 5 of them left, managed to kill 3 of them and 2 survived cause time run out... Can't remember what ship, but it was either IJN or USN bb, tier is also hazy for me (t5-t7), map passage... I think it was fuso or nagato, but just not sure... is there any way to check that out? Edit: Okay, so I appearently have 3 of those, last one with ishizuchi in 2019... I honestly thought I only have one, don't remember what the second was, but the first was the one I was talking about...

Atago is one of those OG ships that hasnt suffered horribly from power creep. So few of those remain. I really like mine but don't play it anywhere near enough.

I got one 4-5 years ago in a Colorado. I went to the right flank. My team was successful on that side and collapsed on the left. My connection crapped out. The battle was over by the time I got back into the game and found that I was the last survivor on a win for us with getting my solo warrior.

I got in a Iowa, team was being dumb we had 3 caps but they kept pushing so I followed. They eventually all got killed due to the fact they got cocky as usual. had to pull back and run. Barely survived bt manage to get the last kill because the Lyon was being to aggressive and got to close to the BIG GUNS lol. I recorded it if I remember right.

I just got "gifted" a solo warrior by a potato. We had a game where we had all the caps, reds were all bad backline snipers we had 980 ish points and I saw the win (vs 400 something points, 2 minutes left) so I moved away because it was a certain win as long as one of us lived. Our kagero decided to rush the reds including thier lexington , the rest of team followed I stayed back and they all died. Spent the last minute hearing about how I was throwing for not suiciding against 5 ships and got my solo warrior.
