I have the Bixpy for sale. Used once. Has all the trimmings with it. for a Hobie. $900. J2model However it does need about 12-14 inches of water but is so easy to put in and out of the kayak. Got same Outback, after following RX Angler, and am in great shape but...67 years old, so put on a Texas Power Paddle rudder max speed 6 mph. Due to added total expense, prob better to have gotten Old Town Autopilot. Outback can go shallow but seen MDLR do half position trick w motor. That new assist pedal he got forces you to be all up or all down, and motor tip is 13" + draft of hull depending on weight easily adds 2" . Saw on his video from this trip he was poling while his son was cruising in the Autopilot. Need to get there early to get to.... that spot, 4 miles from dock! There is a short route but crosses fenced private property, waisted morning thinking I was smart😂.
@TheFishAndTrips Жыл бұрын
Trespasser!! 😂😂😂 No, but great points. In open water, the Big water is a Beast, but the the Hobie preforms better in really shallow water. The other Old Towne Auto Pilot that Christine has I did see was a keeper to still operate in shallow water although at a slow pace. I think adding a trolling motor to my Hobie gives me the best of both worlds for marsh fishing. I've been looking at Texas power paddle option, but their KZbin channel has all their comments off, which makes me not trust them.
@trinacria1956 Жыл бұрын
@TheFishAndTrips cant recommend them enough. When bought mine, Karen,the sales director for Texas Power Paddle, went beyond by sending along a how-to sheet on how to get motor license, and when the Hobie dealer ( now defunct) ACK gave me problems about documents they forgot to give me, she called them and Hobie on her own and resolved it for me within hours! They have another company in Austin that makes medical electronics.
