Yes.. I enjoy being in the woods alone too. Some people think I am "insane" for doing that, but it helps me grow as a person. Cheers! Thanks for your comment.

Yep !! I'll keep watching. I am impressed with your willingness to "solo", and if you have kids, even more so!! I love the idea of "Rocky" being with you, so you're not quite so "solo". Thanks too for your willingness to show the bad along with the good. I got such a kick out of your tangled Para Cord problem. We've ALL been there, but too many of us would never admit it, LOL Please keep up the terrific videos. I'll be interested to see your progress on that lovely camp site. Best wishes.... Ax

Hello again SoloWoman ! Lucky me to have discovered your wonderful vids...and you are in my very favoretist (I, know, I know, it isn't a word) American state (I am up in Canada). Just wanted to say that you are doing a FANTASTIC job with your vids...less music and more, and more, silence (despite the talking). Loving your efforts with every posting. Please keep up the absolutely outstanding, amazing work. You rock like a Rolling Stones concert ! Keep on keepin' on. Seb up in Canada.

Thanks for watching.. Disdain.. no.. I was more surprised that he showed up and I wasn't prepared, I like cooking for others and having plans. I am a planner, and when plans change it throws me off, I am learning to go more with the flow, it is a process. haha! But overall I was happy he was there, he is good company.

You need to build a work table - helps with breaking camp - folding tarp, rolling sleeping bag etc etc and keeping stuff off the ground

Hi Loved this video, thank you for sharing it with us! :) Your breakfast looked lovely, but it's a shame about the "only one fork" situation! lol I'm really impressed with your drive and desire to enjoy the great outdoors, and think your dog is an essential companion for a lady on a solo camp trip! Security and safety are paramount for us all, really, so pleased you have him with you. Take care Ian :) (and please forgive me for suggesting this, however, if you place a small length of wood under the fallen tree that you are cutting, to the left hand side of your cut, you can then place your foot on the fallen log, above the inserted log, to really steady the log, and allow all your energy to then go into sawing. :) hope that makes sense! ha ha)

Thanks Ian for watching. I had a GREAT weekend, was excited to share. It is nice to have my dog with me! He is a nice protector. A neighbor came by to see what I was doing this weekend, and I had to tie him up. He gets pretty protective... but still a bit of a lovey. Funny when I was creating that video I noticed that I need to put a piece of wood there too... guess I was too lazy to go get one. haha! Cheers!

When you say fire ban, does that also mean no wood stoves? Could you not install a wood stove cook area?

If you're going to be doing a lot of cutting of wood I would suggest carrying a bow saw with you, they are relatively light but much more efficient in time and energy in cutting wood.

What a nice guy. I think all the work he's doing is worth that little sample bottle of booze. If it was a real-sized bottle, though, that might be another story. It sucks that you can't burn. You can always build a fire pit and get some battery powered flickering tea lights to put between the logs. Sometimes you have to fake it until you can make it. ;-)
@SpiritForest

He really is one of the nicest guys I know. Very giving. I do like messing with him, he is fun. Think he will have to get a nice present ... you got me thinking.. hmm. So it is raining most of the week and this next weekend, crossing fingers for no burn ban for the next time I am out. "fake it until you make it.." LOL !!!! You crack me up, that was awesome.. big smiles here, thanks! Thanks again for watching.

Hi. I just loved you videos. I watched all three and wished I could be there with you. When I was in my teen years my friends and I did exactly what your doing. When I graduated from high school and when to Penn. State university life got in the way and all the camping trips ended. Today I’m retired and your videos bring back such good memories. Thank you for the videos and please keep them coming. I also watch My Self Reliance with Shawn James and just love every video he makes. If you haven’t watched his videos on KZbin please check them out because I’m sure you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. Again please keep posting your videos. I have subscribed to you and look forward to enjoying your adventures. 😃👍🏻🇺🇸. PS- can you tell me the title and composer of your music. I’d like to look it up on iTunes and download it. Thank you. 😃.

Can you just go into the woods and set up camp for a permanent all year long site in Colorado. Or do you own that land where you were cutting all that wood.
@SpiritForest
@SpiritForest 7 жыл бұрын
I own the land, and there are laws, I cannot camp on it all year around. It also gets really cold here in the winter. I am at 9,700 feet above sea level and snow can fall to 20-30" and temps down to -20.
