Life in a Tent - How I Live In the Woods

On this trip I finally was able to set up the awning for my tent, as well as utilize it's hot-tent capabilities - but neither of these went exactly as planned. Come along with me on a tour of my 13 foot canvas bell tent where I show how I equipped the tent with a wood burning stove and talk about some of the issues I faced living off-grid in the Adirondacks for two weeks in October, where the night-time temperatures dipped into the 30's.

I would like to recommend the stove that I used, but honestly it was so leaky and inconsistent I cannot. I will likely replace this and I will give you a review of the replacement stove after I have had a chance to use it.

Thanks - I would like to blame it on equipment, but it is mostly the operators fault. I have an older DJI gimble to smooth out shots and it will occasionally go berserk, but mostly I forget to slow down when filming for the audience. Not enough time in the day to do the work and properly film it.

I agree - for the longest time I didn't think I would be able to make this happen, it will take a while to get there, but having a vision of what I want it to be gives me something to work towards.

An active railroad track? That must get loud. I am working to try to mask some of the road noise as I am just off one of the main roads in my area and it can get loud during high traffic times - mostly trying to plant natural plant barriers to absorb/block sound.
