Actually, the Hopper Bus service is free to the general public, anyone is allowed on it; you're asked to scan your student card to record passenger numbers. If you forgot your student card, or you don't have one, you can just tell the driver an they can manually record your trip. The Medilink service will also accept any UoN students, you can show your student/staff card or your NHS card.
@xzSora Жыл бұрын
Hi, do you know if the Medilink or CT4N buses in general is still free for UoN students this year?
@GameOnPixelThumb11 ай бұрын
@@xzSora Hey, I'm no longer living in Notts, but to the best of my knowledge the Medilink is. If you're a UoN medic student there is also a new 905 Hopper Bus services operated by CT4N that goes from Uni Park to City Hospital but only in the morning and afternoon :)

Thanks for answering my questions.. I moved to the UK from Greece for my MSc in October and I find it very hard due to Covid to get to know people... I would totally choose trains too. I have travelled around Europe with Interrail and I totally recommend it (after the pandemic)!!

The main bus operators in Nottingham is Nottingham City Transport, trent batons (most of those busses service the outlying villages and towns). The trams also link to the bus services. There are around 30 trams servicing 4 main routes. The cheapest way to travel around Nottingham is to buy Robin Hood passes that way you can switch from each service operator. Trains can also be used for local stops. Nottingham, has the world's largest bio bus fleet there's over 500 busses in this city. I've used them for 56 years.
@YoloMenace001 Жыл бұрын
One correction: There are just 2 routes (Hucknall-Toton Lane and Pheonix Park-Clifton South) i think people just say theres 4 routes cos after Phase Two the routes made a sorta X shape and people just said theres 4 lol

Ann, I love your videos and the way you edit them and the music you put on them, which I find relaxing. Also England is on of my favorite countries. Nottingham looks pretty nice. I live in the states (Texas) and here we get around in the car. It's okay, but I don't like driving that much. It would be nice to have some sort of mass transit, but for the most part, we don't have that here except in larger towns, and even then it's pretty inadequate. Question: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be if money wasn't an object? Why did you decide on going to school in the UK other than just staying in Italy? I wondered if you'd ever considered being a veterinarian as it doesn't seem like they'd have to put in so many hours, however, I'd talk to other vets about it--I could be wrong.

Even getting "rich" isn't necessarily important. Having enough and a bit more is all we need. Living in excess is not a good thing. I am alot like you in terms of being a introvert. Most people are shady and have ulterior motives. If I happen to meet a friend somehow so be it, but I'm not going to go searching high and low.🤣

Interesting and informative video, there had loads of stuff that might help the newly arrival students that they might not know about, Specially the free transport options. Also, Dunno if you could give me further info about the medlink bus stop from the town to QMC or Treatment centre; where to hop on and off ❤️

Great video! A minor correction: not every Localling bus is free, only the L12. I mean it was. The council decided to withdraw many L buses include the L12. This is quite bad because it went through some areas where poorer students live and it was always full in the early hours. About the Medilink: it is free for every student, not just NHS staff/students.

The Locallink got changed into CT4N. NCT used to run the buses until some routes got changed to electric buses and the council ran the electric buses. NCT completely stopped running the buses for locallink when the council fully changed the routes to CT4N
