Current day Hyori remains a popular celebrity, known for her unfiltered advice. I recall she once advised an idol trainee to sleep around as much as possible so they can better understand the lyrics of their songs. This was back when idols were expected to be 'pure' for their fans.

You did react to Refund Sisters so you've seen that Lee Hyori is still gorgeous and amazingly flexible in her 40's. You really should watch some of the Dancing Queen Material. They are Uhm Jung-Hya (also in Refund Sisters), Wann Sinn (a contemporary of UJH), Boa, Lee Hyori, and Hwasa. The idea of them doing a tour together was formed at a drunken party at I can't recall if it was Boa's or Wann Sinn's house where they were watching videos of each other performances. It really felt like Hwasa was being inducted into the secret masters of Kpop. The original notion was that they would tour around and make surprise appearances at small venues. The older members had not performed live for a long time. This turned into a much bigger deal and there was a television show. They still did some smaller performances sometimes mixing in directly with the crowds as well as bigger venues. While I don't think there is much with subs there interactions and cheering each other on is really charming. They initially just did one or two of their own big songs but then they started covering eachother. Really go watch some. You know You Go Girl's MV reminds me of Moonbyul's Cheese in the Trap. I think it's just an evergreen plot.

You've probably heard U Go Girl before as a live cover by NUMEROUS 2nd-4th gen girl groups (most recently Yuna of Itzy). I don't know that a 5th gen has covered it yet

10 minute, and U-Go-Girl were super popular, lots of idols have done covers. I know SNSD did one at one point. The most memorable cover IMO in recent memory of 10 minute, was with Yeeun of CLC, and Jiwoo of KARD. I'm sure if you do a search you will find a lot of them really easily.

I am here early for my 1st gen bias 😂 When I got into kpop mid 2nd gen she was still a chart topping queen by then. You are saying her name fine don't worry 10 Minutes went viral on tik tok recently 😂 y2k coming back to haunt us lmao everything is a circle. 5:44 Mamamoo did a jazzy cover of it in their 'sexy girl group medley' on Sketchbook, so maybe that? (don't remember if you watched that) I knew you'd love her tone, I do too ^^ wait til you get to the jazzy/60s style stuff BoA debuted as a soloist first (2000) but Hyori technically debuted first since she debuted in the group Fin.K.L in 1998 Yaaas Get Ya is such an iconic bop I love it so much! Why are there so many random zombies in kpop mvs though 😂 Hyori's dance breaks are legendary I agree let's bring it back! U-go-girl was the first Hyori song I heard. The 'o-o-o-ok!' bit is so iconic it was referenced and memed to death 🤣 30:25 yes it was around the same time as Gee. U-go-girl definitely has shifted to more of a 2nd gen vibe than the previous songs and MVs. 32:17 Hyori debuted in DSP Media which was one of the big 3 at the time (before YG took their crown later). It is the company that Kara and KARD debuted under and is now a subsidiary of RBW. Hyori is currently under Antenna (Yoon Heeyool's company aka the guy who presents Sketchbook). ... Why do i know all this crap 😭

Hwa Sa is very close to Hyori :) They were in Refund Sisters, and Dancing Queens on the Road together! So there is a lot of content with her on those shows, and she sang A LOT of her old songs on Dancing Queens on the Road, just FYI for you! SO you can do searches for that, and get more update performances. A bit of info, when you did Hyolyn's Solo Week, the performance of "Chitty Chitty, Bang, Bang!" Hyori is the original singer of that song. :) Oh, and she is STILL as beautiful, she hasn't aged a bit! ALso, she did a Cover of Hwa Sa's TWIT! a Sexy version, with her husband on stage playing guitar. (Hwa Sa's squeal during the kiss is very thing LOL!) Please make sure you get to do Refund Sisters 'Don't Touch me' reaction! It was a group that Lee Hyori was in for one song, also has Jessi! It was a multi-gen supergroup of "bad girls" of their eras: Hwasa (20s) Jessi (30s) Lee Hyori (40s) Uhm Jung-hwa (50s) The name being a joke that they were so intimidating, they could walk into any store and get a refund lmao Uhm Jong-hwa would be a fun checkout too. Her song "Invitation" was controversial due to the implications of lyrics at the time. She's considered the Korean Madonna.

might be too late now, but you should definitely checkout lee hyori - hey mr. big / miss korea / bad girls / her newest song Hoodie e Banbaji. As well as her special song for the 2021 mama (believe she was the first female to ever host it) called Do The Dance.

She had an album in 2010 called H-Logic which was really good and was a hit! But the main producer of the album sampled (without paying the original artist) and plagiarized almost all the songs so it had to be pulled from the shelves/streaming. It was sad cause it was a really good album
