I studied at the University of Northampton from 2005-2007. I literally don't recall anyone wearing Docs or Solovair then. Fast forward to now, I see everyone flaunting their docs. To be honest, I have been intrigued with Solovair for their quality but hey, life is too short to spend time breaking in quality leather. For now, Ill stick to Docs before I make my next trip to sleepy Northampton

My solovairs didn't take a lot of time to break in, and if you oil them inside and out it's even faster. Ive owned both brands.

When you think about solovair did own the air ware name and helped them out before so I don’t see the point of them fighting but docs being so crazy over the yellow stitching is just them being insecure.

Having owned docs and solovairs the solovairs are significantly superior. My mum still has her docs from the 80s and they've just about held up but mine from 2015 are already falling apart

@@Fodaysway totally different feeling boots like the heritage one with leather thick insoles are very hard.I wear thick socks or RW insoles and thin socks for 80 degree days.I love my docs 1460 smooth now they fit like a glove!👍

I do not want a shank in my Docs. I want them to bend and flex like sneakers.

@@Fodaysway I do have another brand of boots with a shank. They are good for some things, like, I would not want to be in the army with Docs lol, but for what they are, I like the flexible nature of Docs.
