Man I'm so glad you covered this one!! I bought it about 10 years ago for 3 bucks (score!) and from the moment I fired it up, I loved the charm and personality that it was giving out...the problem was is that I could never beat the first boss lol. Hearing you talk about the boss fights being so unbalanced made sense, after I got through the dungeon pretty easily but then couldn't beat the boss after DOZENS of attempts. Great review as always my friend!

Apparently, and I learned about this just after putting this up, but the crushing difficulty spikes are exclusive to the North American version. When translating it they decided on the back end to double the stats of all enemies in the game, which explains why even outleveling a boss still results in them being crushingly difficult. I appreciate your kind words, I'm doing the best I can with what I have to work with.

So my brother and I grew up with this game, we still have our original copy. Because of how rare this game is no one knows how to play it. I've watched a BUNCH of people play it and no one ever seems to realize that you can bypass so many of the combat shortfalls by jumping. If you use your cape and jump at the same time, you have the ability to kite and you almost never accidentally get dizzy. I've also never seen a single person mention the python bunny reference.

WHOA! Talk about a game I haven't played since my Blockbuster rental days Troy. I wish I should've kept this game seeing the prices of it off Ebay....and a whole other titles as well. 8^) A strange title, but had unique elements of the game that gave it a reputation on its own...Well done pick for sure my man. 8^) Anthony..
