FYI Disclosure just told me they host a few "studio rooms" on their Discord, where anyone can share their screen and meet like minded producers.

i love how much he knows how painful are the bad treated hi hats. in general in house music, UK garage or anything with hi hats, producers are not aware of the harshness and they release really harsh tracks. this is song killer for me if you don't know what you are doing.

So true, it's one of those things once you hear it you just can't unhear it.

i always feel like hi hats and open hats need some kind of low pass filter because they produce such a harsh dirty sound that really blurts out through low quality speakers

Brilliant. May I ask ….why bypass the limiter before sending off for mastering?
@aymen666-w2r3 жыл бұрын
You need headroom to master a song, taking off the limiter makes sure the transients aren't limited so the mastering engineer has an easier time doing his job.
@abrown9032 жыл бұрын
Yes, headroom is the answer. In essence the idea is to let the mastering engineer do his job and not get in his way

With dynamic eq is he just doing this because its a loop would it be the a very similar product if he cut up all of t6he loop hits and eq them differently?
@TheCALMInstitute3 жыл бұрын
it'd be about 90% the same - the transitions between EQ states would be time-bound rather than connected to amplitude.
