Thank you to Ali for giving you your next mission before you can progress to the next level of the game and to his mother for bringing him into this world so he could complete his mission. My brother and I made it thro a difficult childhood, at times giving up seemed the better option, Sometimes the only reason we got up again was to drag the other one up too, if I stayed down who would be there to carry him Then he died he died after all of the pain we had withstood he died I have been lost since, heartbroken confused ... he was the only sense the world has ever made. Well Mo. The world is beginning to make sense again after hearing you. And for that I thank you and I thank your Ali. The pain of being the survivor is beyond explanation. Gosh I would love to speak with you in person, I have so many things to say/ ask

**Article Title: "Unveiling Happiness: Debunking Myths and Pursuing True Contentment"** **Key Ideas:** 1. **Introduction to Happiness:** The speaker begins by addressing the prevalent misconceptions about happiness, asserting that much of what people believe about happiness is flawed. 2. **Path to Lasting Happiness:** Despite the challenges, the speaker suggests that understanding these misconceptions is crucial in finding a path towards sustained happiness. 3. **Survey Results:** Analysis of responses from a survey on future aspirations reveals that while success and wealth are prioritized, happiness ranks lower among respondents' goals. 4. **Paradox of Happiness:** The speaker highlights the paradox that while happiness is desired by all, many fail to prioritize it in their goals and aspirations. 5. **The Insurance Policy Mentality:** The speaker introduces the concept of the "insurance policy mentality," suggesting that societal conditioning often prioritizes long-term success over immediate happiness. 6. **Reevaluating Life Goals:** Encouragement to reassess life goals by prioritizing personal happiness over external markers of success, such as wealth or career achievements. 7. **Default Setting of Happiness:** Drawing parallels between human nature and a factory default setting, the speaker argues that happiness is intrinsic to human beings rather than an external pursuit. 8. **Emotional Spectrum:** Exploring the idea that experiencing a range of emotions, including unhappiness, is essential for understanding and appreciating happiness. 9. **Shift in Perspective:** Encouraging individuals to focus on gratitude for what they have rather than lamenting what they lack, thereby fostering a more positive outlook on life. 10. **Internal vs. External Happiness:** Challenging the notion that happiness is contingent upon external factors, emphasizing the importance of cultivating internal contentment. 11. **Expectations and Happiness:** Discussing the impact of expectations on happiness, with the recognition that adjusting expectations can lead to more frequent experiences of happiness. 12. **Choosing to Suffer:** Examining the societal conditioning that perpetuates the belief that suffering is inevitable and necessary for personal growth, challenging individuals to question this narrative. 13. **Analogy of Archery:** Using the analogy of archery to illustrate the pursuit of happiness, highlighting the difference between those who blame external factors for their unhappiness and those who maintain inner contentment regardless of circumstances. 14. **Stages of Thought and Happiness:** Describing stages of thought and their correlation with levels of happiness, from confusion to clarity, and the role of perception in shaping one's experience of happiness. 15. **The 675 Model:** Introducing the 675 model, which posits that understanding six grand illusions, addressing seven brain defects, and embracing five ultimate truths can lead to sustained happiness. By delving into these key ideas, individuals can gain insights into the true nature of happiness and navigate their journey towards lasting contentment.

Mo - First, thank you so much for coming out of your shell and even doing this. If only, it was not Black Swan events that would force us to drop our emotional hijab and be who we are in front of the world. Second, Blaming ourselves is a computation that would always get error-ed out. I have children with medical conditions. There are times, I am looking at future and not living in Now and afraid that I would lose them. So some one who has lost a child saying that we need to control our irreconcilable computations, is ... phenomenal. Thanks so much. Third - Thank you for saying in a way that attracts. I mean to thank you for keeping religion out and presenting it without a belief system. Presenting it in an equation that can be solved by everyone and not just who belief in an equation. Fourth - I always thought that good children are a charity for parents. I am watching for the first time that good parents can also be a charity for children. Sending good thoughts to Ali!

Happiness: Where to look. I have a sister n law who is Happy. Even if she doesn't think about it or realize. Knowing how she grew up with a father who only supported his sons (even going so far as to remove his girls from school), it continues to amaze me that she is Happy with the life she has now. Even using her favorite saying, "life goes on" it didn't make sense to me. The door is being opened. Thank you.

And I also *really* recommend Russell Brand's Recovery book on audio. At first glance, it's easy to discredit it based on 1. Russell Brand 2. Addiction 3. Religious stuff but it's WAAAAY more than those things. Russell and Mo Gawdat are summarizing a lot of very deep, old philosophies (like mindfulness, meditation, religion, etc) into practical advice for *everyone*.

Hi Mo, I got to your videos on Solve for Happy through a friend of mine, Astuti, who had the pleasure of meeting you. I am also going through a loss, not as big as yours, but to me quite big; found courage given by friends, and even being a spiritualistic person, I was going through the painful confused state (the voices in my head and of the other ones trying to help me, with good intentions nonetheless), leading to suffering. You helped me get my equation in equilibrium (I am a Chemical Engineer so even knowing and experiencing certain things, sometimes the reason wants to trump the beliefs making me feel grumpy). Thank you for your insight. Looking forward to reading your book. Bless you, Raquel

I hope one day you're project will lead you to eastern Europe more exactly Romania,i would love to be able to see one of you're events and also talk to you. I would like to leave you with a question: If you are not you're brain, you are not you're body, you are not you're ego, soon enough medical science will come so far where a brain transplant will be possible.Who do you think will wake up after the operation, the donor or the patient,or maby neither? have a happy day Oli

Great talk Mo! Thank you for sharing this video, I can't wait for the book. I named myself Chief Happiness Officer many years ago, but the deeper I dive into this topic, the more I realize I need to study a lot :) I gave myself a similar mission as you did: I would like to help people find their happiness during the time they spend at work (work is the second most frequent thing we do in life! after sleeping...). It just doesn't make sense to suffer most of this time and just wait until the work hours end to finally start living again. BTW will you be sharing other parts of this lecture as well?

45K views.. Hmm.. I always thought I'm a top-down learner.. But i guess your conceptual level involves much more layers of abstraction than myself.. I read (listened.. ) the book from front to back.. Repeating some passages more than 7 times.. From the architecture of the "code", i could understand (on hindsight.. ), the need for "solve for happy", and "the if-else of expectation" modules/ foundation.. The "archer analogy" was quite a handful, for me.. But i saw how it connects to "6-7-5" on this run.. Thanks !

**Article Title: "Unveiling the Truth About Happiness: Decoding Mo Gawdat's Insights"** **Key Ideas:** 1. **Introduction to the Talk:** Mo Gawdat begins his discussion on happiness by debunking common myths and misconceptions surrounding it, highlighting the flawed societal understanding of happiness. 2. **Misconceptions About Happiness:** Gawdat emphasizes that the prevailing notions about happiness are often misguided, leading people to pursue elusive paths to contentment. 3. **Survey Insights:** Gawdat references a survey where respondents primarily focused on success, wealth, and self-improvement as their future goals, with only a small percentage prioritizing happiness directly. 4. **Default State of Happiness:** Gawdat points out that happiness is the default state of human beings, much like a new smartphone working optimally out of the box. 5. **The Pursuit of Happiness:** Despite happiness being innate, society conditions individuals to seek external validation and achievements, often neglecting their intrinsic well-being. 6. **Understanding Unhappiness:** Gawdat delves into the nuances of unhappiness, linking it to unmet expectations and societal pressures ingrained from childhood. 7. **Parental Influence on Happiness:** He introduces the concept of an "insurance policy mentality," where parents emphasize long-term success over immediate happiness, shaping individuals' perspectives. 8. **Delayed Gratification vs. Happiness:** Gawdat challenges the notion of delayed gratification as a prerequisite for happiness, advocating for aligning life purpose with personal happiness. 9. **Engineering Approach to Happiness:** Gawdat presents an engineering perspective, questioning whether one is solving for success or happiness, highlighting the importance of clarity in goals. 10. **Challenges in Attaining Happiness:** Audience participation reveals common challenges such as lack of control over life events, diverse emotions beyond happiness, and societal expectations. 11. **Emotional Awareness:** Gawdat encourages introspection to understand one's emotional spectrum, acknowledging that experiencing unhappiness is part of appreciating happiness. 12. **Shifting Focus:** He prompts individuals to focus on gratitude for existing blessings rather than fixating on what they lack, citing the analogy of finding keys already in one's pocket. 13. **Choice and Suffering:** Gawdat distinguishes between pain and suffering, asserting that while pain serves as a physical alarm, suffering stems from psychological choices and societal conditioning. 14. **Archery Analogy:** Using an archery metaphor, Gawdat illustrates the importance of mental alignment in achieving consistent happiness regardless of external circumstances. 15. **The Path to Lasting Happiness:** Gawdat outlines a model involving dispelling illusions, addressing cognitive biases, and anchoring beliefs in fundamental truths as keys to enduring happiness. In conclusion, Mo Gawdat's insights challenge conventional beliefs about happiness, urging individuals to prioritize internal harmony and reframe their perceptions to attain sustained well-being. Through critical introspection and aligning goals with intrinsic happiness, Gawdat advocates for a paradigm shift towards a more fulfilling and contented life.

There is no goal but peace. Happyness is peace in movement. People look for pleasure, the short good feeling, therefore so much addiction. What is a peacefull mind in a world of corruption and distruction? A mind only works FOR "you", NOT AS you. As you it creates automatic conflict. When mind works without personal ident. will not create conflict but solve and it does not create the future out of the past. This "state" of mind is peace i would say. TimeForTruthThinkAboutLove Warmly germ. greatings ❤

Peace also is the not looking for or wanting happyness. Peace means you are not get happy when someone says something nice to you nor you become a crisis when something beats you. This is the middle between happy and unhappy we find peace. And when you are in peace you will taste something sweet in everything that arises.

**Article Title: "Unlocking Happiness: Debunking Myths and Engineering Joy"** **Introduction** Happiness, a pursuit as old as humanity itself, has been shrouded in myths and misconceptions that often lead people astray in their quest for joy. In a thought-provoking KZbin video titled "Solve for Happy: Part 1: The Truth About Happiness," the speaker challenges commonly held beliefs about happiness and offers insights into a more fulfilling and sustainable approach to life satisfaction. **Key Idea 1: Happiness Myths** The speaker begins by dismantling prevalent myths about happiness, highlighting that much of what people think they know about happiness is fundamentally flawed. **Key Idea 2: Path to Lasting Happiness** While the path to sustained happiness may not be easy, it requires a shift in perspective and a willingness to challenge ingrained beliefs. **Key Idea 3: Survey Insights** Insights from a survey reveal varied aspirations, with success and riches ranking high, while happiness receives comparatively lower priority-a reflection of societal conditioning and misplaced priorities. **Key Idea 4: Default Setting of Happiness** The speaker emphasizes that happiness is not something external to be pursued but rather an inherent default setting within every individual, akin to a factory setting in a new device. **Key Idea 5: Understanding Unhappiness** Exploring moments of unhappiness leads to a deeper understanding of happiness, akin to peaks and valleys in emotional experiences. **Key Idea 6: Expectations and Happiness** The role of expectations in shaping happiness is discussed, highlighting the need to manage and align expectations with reality to foster contentment. **Key Idea 7: Choice to Suffer** Suffering is portrayed as a choice influenced by societal conditioning rather than an inevitable consequence of circumstances. **Key Idea 8: Archery Analogy** An analogy likening happiness to hitting a bullseye in archery underscores the importance of clarity, focus, and perspective in attaining and maintaining happiness. **Key Idea 9: Thought and Happiness** Thought patterns are explored as foundational to happiness, with different states of thought reflecting varying levels of happiness and contentment. **Key Idea 10: Suspension of Thought** The concept of rising above thought and suspending mental chatter is presented as a pathway to transcending suffering and attaining inner peace. **Key Idea 11: Grand Illusions** The speaker introduces six grand illusions that cloud human perception and contribute to confusion, hindering the pursuit of happiness. **Key Idea 12: Brain Defects** Seven brain defects are identified as barriers to happiness, highlighting the need to address cognitive biases and distortions. **Key Idea 13: The 675 Model** The 675 model is introduced as a framework encompassing the dismantling of illusions, rectifying brain defects, and embracing five ultimate truths to unlock sustained happiness. **Key Idea 14: Engineering Joy** By understanding and addressing internal barriers, individuals can engineer their joy by aligning with innate happiness and transcending societal conditioning. **Key Idea 15: Journey to Lasting Happiness** The journey to lasting happiness involves introspection, mindfulness, and a commitment to redefining success beyond external markers to include inner contentment and fulfillment. In conclusion, the exploration of happiness in "Solve for Happy: Part 1: The Truth About Happiness" challenges viewers to rethink their approach to happiness, emphasizing internal alignment, mindfulness, and a deeper understanding of self as fundamental to unlocking sustained joy in life. By dispelling myths, acknowledging societal influences, and embracing internal clarity, individuals can embark on a transformative journey towards lasting happiness and well-being.
