So as a general rule of thumb I usually run the SFC command first when I am diagnosing a clients pc if it finds errors that it cant fix then usually I DISM and 98% of the time it fixes things randomly and rarely a windows update before running any of them due to clients lack of keeping things updated appropriately it can help gap that as well. Over all good video I have been in IT since I was 12 my first pc I built was a 486dx2 good ole days much simpler than now!!! have a good one!

hi nico , hope you well . have you encountered some windows 7 to 10 updated machines that the sfc /scannow always returns integrity issues but it says is resolved but in reality it never is . if you were to reboot after the first sfc and run it immediately again it would still give the inegrity repair now message as the reply . if yes do you bother trying to resolve this sfc issue ? and if yes to that how do you resolve it . ? thanks jason

Hey Jason, it is possible that an application installed on your computer is causing corruption. Perhaps an out-dated driver.

@@NicoKnowsTechhope you well Well thats the thing i dont know . i had it happen on a handful of machines and could never figure it out . Ultimately i just backed up , formatted and reinstalled windows . its just that problem lived in my mind because i never beat it and I was assuming i couldnt be the only person noticing this on some machines and was hoping you had already encountered and solved it . i think the odds of me running into that problem again are pretty much zero seen that it was only on some 7 to 10 updates . I guess ill have to live with never having figured it out but thanks for replying , much appreciated . Jason

It isn't recommended as the search function is an integral module of Windows Home and Pro Edition. It can be deactivated on Enterprise versions but that is usually only done if the intent is to turn that PC into a kiosk, ATM, etc.

no issues for me to disable it using ssd here so way faster than old mecanical drive

Solution: Uninstall Reason Core Antivirus.

It may be installed as RAV Endpoint or other variation. Essentially Reason products are known to cause this issue. If you are coming from Reason, you will love ESET. I have videos and discount links on the channel.

DISM is not the same as Reset this PC. I have solved issues with windows by using Reset this PC (Keep Data Option) that DISM & SFC couldn't fix. Reset this PC (Refresh) removes apps and settings but keeps your documents, photos, and other personal data if you choose that option. It will only remove Windows Apps, which you will have to reinstall even tho they still show up in the start menu. Reset this PC might use DISM, but it does more with it then just restorehealth.

I was going through a friend's PC because he said it as running real bad, anyway, his disk usage was at 100% all the time, I went through view in task manager, and then expanded all then collapsed all and it's been fixed since. I don't understand why, can I get an explanation? Can't find any explanations
