Thanks! I realize my donation seems small but times are hard for most, and I myself is no exception. I am blessed to be able to follow this group and to be able to see these heart wreching videos. This video is a very touching one, to see Jared and Sam choke up on finding Ethan after all this time. Even though he may have felt he needed to end things there, I am sure that he hoped that someone would find him so his parents can bring him home and lay him to rest. It may be of comfort that they have found the body that once held his soul and can now let his soul rest peacefully. However, the way that they dismissed AWP as if they aren't welcome anymore, and that the team of people that should have found him just as easily as Jared and Sam has, now want to swoop in and take the credit for the find and recovery I feel these two men deserve to be apart of bringing Ethan out of that cold water so his family can now have some closure, and for these two guys to know that he is recovered in a manner that is dignified and respected.

I see this video has hit the youtube algorithm so ill give you guys this: If you ever find yourself in a similar situation do this. Don't panic, the car will float for a minute or two, first remove your seatbelt, then try to open the window, if the window does not open get any sharp item (you can remove your headrest) and break the window, if there are no sharp objects you can use you can break the window with your elbow. If you can't break the window wait for the car to fully fill up with water, take a deep breath right before the car fully fills up, now the pressure inside the car is the same as outside and you can open your door after which you can swim to the surface safely.

I read that after this recovery, the offered $100K reward was not paid out. I know a bit about this topic, and can tell you that this happens more often than not when rewards are offered to solve a crime. They find loopholes/excuses not to pay, or simply refuse. It is sleazy and infuriating.

Yeah, this is only the third video with them I’ve seen, but I’m impressed not only with what they do, but also with their level of professionalism. As for the local dive team, and emergency management, I can see them wanting to run the show, even if more professional people are available, and even though it’s just a recovery, it’s an excellent chance for them to go through their protocol and do the job, which they might not do much, and in doing so maybe they might be able to act fast enough to actually save a life. God bless everyone involved in this recovery, but especially those from this channel who choose to go out, on their own, without any government backing, and help find loved ones so their friends and family can get some closure, give their loved one a proper burial and hopefully move on from this multi year nightmare of just not knowing where their loved one is, or if they are alive. It’s a terrible ending, but it’s far better than a never ending uncertainty over someone’s fate.

Seven long grueling years Ethan's family has been waiting for this day, I think the people who were looking for this man and his vehicle were told the wrong place deliberately, because this was a way to cover up their trail, it spells murder!!!, this is a murder scene!!

$100k reward, got an anonymous tip on the location, had the equipments, easy money for them. Go there confirm it's the car, get reward, a family gets closure, win/win.

There are evil and good people on this earth. Only you hear of the bad on the news. They mostly dont show good cause it doesn't get clicks. But somtimes bad people do good even. Rare but it happens. I broke down one day and a guy game me a ride to the parts store and back late at night, went above and beyond. Found out 4 years alter he was a pimp and a drug dealer yet he whent above and beyond. Not saying he was a good guy but didnt stop him from doing a good deed. Knowing that though i would have rather not been any where near him lol

As I posted elsewhere here, many years ago I was on vacation in Miami. I saw on the News a case where they found a car at bottom of a canal out towards Everglades. It had 4 or 5 (I think) missing teens inside, who had been missing for years. I forget how many years. This was probably 35 years ago or so. I think they had been missing for a lot of years.

This is good, and as someone that is former law enforcement I love that you respect the family and law enforcement. You've inspired someone to think about doing something similar. It's frustrating the anonymous 'donor' decided to resend the donation.

The father of a friend of mine used to do underwater body retrieval in lakes and rivers in the Midwest. That guy had a real far away look to his eyes. I can't imagine the toll this kind of work takes on a person.
@hunterra2173 жыл бұрын
I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I think you probably just saw what you wanted to. In my (admittedly fairly limited) experience, jobs like recovery units or morticians are actually pretty fulfilling, it's sad for sure, sometimes devastating, but you're doing something daily that helps people heal, and you end up having a very healthy outlook on life and grief. I honestly would rather be in that field over something like a surgeon, the pressures of that sort of job would freak me out too much lol. Of course, it all depends on the person, but I think when we look exclusively at the toll a job takes we devalue it a bit.
@calliew3113 жыл бұрын
@@hunterra217 fulfilling because they are helping families, but also sad because they see some terrible shit, even if it is their every day job, the way bodies decompose in diff environments... I have a lot of respect for them because I couldn't do it.

@@hunterra217 You have no idea what the commenter saw or what the father of his friend was experiencing. You, are projecting your own ideas just as you suppose this commenter is projecting...
