Wow. My sister just sent me this video. Ethan is our second cousin (our grandma’s, brothers’s grandson). Thank you for helping solve this. My sister said she had continuously checked over the years for an answer but then this video randomly popped up for her today on a site she follows. It’s definitely a sad day but definitely good for his family to have some closure. Thank you for making this video tastefully and thank you for your help!

Thanks! I realize my donation seems small but times are hard for most, and I myself is no exception. I am blessed to be able to follow this group and to be able to see these heart wreching videos. This video is a very touching one, to see Jared and Sam choke up on finding Ethan after all this time. Even though he may have felt he needed to end things there, I am sure that he hoped that someone would find him so his parents can bring him home and lay him to rest. It may be of comfort that they have found the body that once held his soul and can now let his soul rest peacefully. However, the way that they dismissed AWP as if they aren't welcome anymore, and that the team of people that should have found him just as easily as Jared and Sam has, now want to swoop in and take the credit for the find and recovery I feel these two men deserve to be apart of bringing Ethan out of that cold water so his family can now have some closure, and for these two guys to know that he is recovered in a manner that is dignified and respected.

@@4legs4paws55 the car is evidence, and it could be a crime scene... no one really knows what has happened... if something goes wrong and it is the fault of a civilian that civilian could be arrested for disturbing a crime scene.... it is the law. Also.. as the officer said, they rather not have to subpoena them in case of foul play and they'd have to testify in court. At the moment there's a crime scene, the police is responsible of it.. if they let a civilian without any legal qualification handle it, they will be liable for anything... Also... it would be grounds for any dismissal of evidence as the state can not without a doubt say that the evidence has been tampered with... It's all pretty logical imo

I see this video has hit the youtube algorithm so ill give you guys this: If you ever find yourself in a similar situation do this. Don't panic, the car will float for a minute or two, first remove your seatbelt, then try to open the window, if the window does not open get any sharp item (you can remove your headrest) and break the window, if there are no sharp objects you can use you can break the window with your elbow. If you can't break the window wait for the car to fully fill up with water, take a deep breath right before the car fully fills up, now the pressure inside the car is the same as outside and you can open your door after which you can swim to the surface safely.

Almost 33 years ago we found a car at the beach access at a local lake. We reported it to the police and waited for their arrival to be able to give them the location of the car. Just a minor observation. I get confused with the licence plate, the Missing Persons Poster at 1:04 indicates it would read AUZ 382. That's what I read at 11:40 under water as well. Nevertheless everyone refers to it as AUZ 387 numerous times. In a serious matter like this I am surprised nobody ever raised that mismatch during the process.

I don’t understand why they kept saying a license plate ended in 387, when it was obviously 382. And then they told the cop on the phone that they had a license plate match? And _THEN_ when talking to the cop in person, he said it ended in 357! The cop said “that’s correct.” Huh?? The plate is clear as day 382! Just weird!

All of these recovery rescues really hit home with me. I live in Monroe, Michigan. A friend of the family had a daughter named, Ella, who would play and hang out with my granddaughter. Fast forward, both girls have grown and went their separate ways. Ella had an accident in one of our nearby waterways and her car was jammed between (poles?). That’s unknown to me. I do know underwater divers eventually recovered Ella and her vehicle within 48 hours. Keep doing what you’re doing. I am a supporter, but not a very big one, as my income is limited. I hope somewhere in the future I can help much more, whether in clues or cash support or even buying your merchandise. Love what you all do. ❤️

Yeah, this is only the third video with them I’ve seen, but I’m impressed not only with what they do, but also with their level of professionalism. As for the local dive team, and emergency management, I can see them wanting to run the show, even if more professional people are available, and even though it’s just a recovery, it’s an excellent chance for them to go through their protocol and do the job, which they might not do much, and in doing so maybe they might be able to act fast enough to actually save a life. God bless everyone involved in this recovery, but especially those from this channel who choose to go out, on their own, without any government backing, and help find loved ones so their friends and family can get some closure, give their loved one a proper burial and hopefully move on from this multi year nightmare of just not knowing where their loved one is, or if they are alive. It’s a terrible ending, but it’s far better than a never ending uncertainty over someone’s fate.

AGREED! These men are amazing & they have to speak highly of the local law enforcement. If not they get a bad name within the law community & start getting shut out. Sad because the ones I’ve watched don’t deserve the recognition they seem so blah, unbothered & nonchalant about a missing person & someone wanting to actually solve it. They can legit solve a missing person case within 24hrs-a week but yet these “investigators” can’t within 7+yrs! Also if they did really look back in the beginning & the car wasn’t seen like they claim I would start to think fowl play?🤔

The parents of this young man made a donation to them for helping bring hom there son. What do you want them too do? They said thank you in there own way leave it at that. They lost there son 7yrs ago and everyday from that day will have been horrible for them. Then to be in that field when they were pulling the car out and waiting to here if there were a body inside or not? And then having to wait for the coroner to come back with if that was there son. They said thank you just because they dont splash a video all over youtube saying thank you don't mean they have not said thank you and we know they have done that..

I just subscribed to your channel after I came across it a few days ago. I've been binge-watching some of your videos and will continue to do so. I love the fact that you show the joking around among yourselves, but when you find a body, everything turns to respecting the dead and calling the authorities. Please keep doing what you're doing, because you're bringing some long-needed closure to families who desperately need it - as well as cleaning up the environment. I broke down one day and a guy game me a ride to the parts store and back late at night, went above and beyond. Found out 4 years alter he was a pimp and a drug dealer yet he whent above and beyond. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I think you probably just saw what you wanted to. In my (admittedly fairly limited) experience, jobs like recovery units or morticians are actually pretty fulfilling, it's sad for sure, sometimes devastating, but you're doing something daily that helps people heal, and you end up having a very healthy outlook on life and grief. I honestly would rather be in that field over something like a surgeon, the pressures of that sort of job would freak me out too much lol. Of course, it all depends on the person, but I think when we look exclusively at the toll a job takes we devalue it a bit.
