USE THIS METHOD ITS REALLY SIMPLE AND EASY TO DO Step 1: make sure the disc is out the ps4 then hold the power button until you hear the second beep Step 2: Rinse off the game with light water then clean it with a cloth (rag) Step 3: Put it in VERY GENTLY then just wait and don’t press anything for about 10 seconds or until the game is ready then YOUR DONE ENJOY btw I tried this on Black ops 3

Here's how I fixed my GTA V: This error has nothing to do with the physical disc unless you can visibly see it's fucked up so don't go doing all that toothpaste shit etc. In my case, I popped GTA V into my PS4 and got this error. The only option was to remove disc and stop installation so I did. When I put it back in to try to reinstall it, it sticks on 4% everytime (Probably because the installation was corrupted). So here's the fix. Delete the game and remove the disc. Restart your PS4. Put disc in and start GTA V and go ahead and start application without downloading. If you get an error, then quit the game and try again till it starts to install. Leave it to install until you get the error. When you get the error, DO NOT CLICK TO REMOVE THE DISC. Leave it for a couple hours on that screen, or estimate how long the game will take to install and leave it alone. Think of that screen as a lockscreen, it does not affect the install at all. Once 2-3 hours passes, hold down your PS button and go into rest mode. Turn on PS4. Click on GTA V. The game will jump straight into installation again. Leave it for a couple hours and VOILA. Game installs and runs PERFECTLY. If this works for you, pls like the comment so that other people would see and get help. Thank you

Thank you it worked for me. Just make sure you have keep game.suspended enabled in the rest settings and make sure you put it into rest before the ps4 spits the game out or completely shuts down the game. With most games I am able to play as long as I press play as soon as I put the disk in due to the initial disk spinning but other games switched off 5 mins in. This fixed that. Thank you squire.

Alright so this happened to me for GTA V. I tried all these YT videos and I’ve been trying to fix it all day. I kept getting 30005-8 error and the disc read error msg. All I did was take a flashlight and put it on my disc. I saw a tiny scratch on the side and put a bit of toothpaste. Let it dry out and washed it off. After this I restarted my ps4, deleted gta v and reinstalled it. Finally worked after like 50 times trying other methods. Good luck everyone hope your game fixes. (Edit: also, try putting your PS4 sideways also helped out)

For gtav it is installing so I didn't have any sound but when the error came up I out it to rest mode and restarted it and it continues installing at whatever percentage you were at. Problem solved people just hold down power button for 7 seconds till hear second beeb you will be in safe mode plug ur controller into its charger and press middle button go to system software update and go to Internet option and redownload the latest update as it may have been corrupted and the previous update had a bug and was fixed in the newest update not likely to be a hardware problem usually most likely a software problem but this way is almost guarantee to work hope it helps thanks

That worked for me. It happened on Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. I bought it second hand and i thought it had some problem even though it had no visible scratches or dirt. I had to delete the game, turn off my wifi, put it in rest mode, turn the PS4 back on, let the game install and when it went blue screen instead of putting it in rest I left it over the rest button for 20 minutes (as it still installs somehow) then once it was over 60% it stopped blue screening and worked! Lemme be even more specific then...Delete the game by holding down options>delete. Take out the disc, restart the PS4. Put in the disc. Start the Game. Tap to continue without updating. If you get the (CE -3005-8) screen then close application and start it again until the game reaches the install screen. It WILL start install from 0% and at some point it's gonna bring up the "disc damaged or dirty" blue screen where your only option is to close the application and eject disc. DO NOT TAP THAT. Leave it for at least 3 hours on that screen. When 3 hours have passed, then hold down your PS button for 3 secs go to Power>Enter Rest Mode. Once in rest mode leave the PS4 for a minute and then come out of rest mode by pressing the PS Button. The screen will come back to your PS Home screen. Start GTA V when it does. The game will start installing from 0% again. Leave it alone for another couple hours and the game will fully install. That will 100% work (It worked for mt GTA V and Battlefield). If it doesn't, then your disc may actually be damaged, or you may need to rebuild your database and try the instructions up there again.

I cleaned it with a soft tissue with a sliiight amount of water and I started cleaning from the center to the outside in straight lines to avoid scratches. then I let disc dry off for 15minutes, That's it

I went through 2 PS3’s, 1Xbox 360, then 3 PS4s and then I finally made the switch to PC about 5 months ago. Best decisions I ever made, no disc issues obviously, so much more variety and I can’t say I’ve ran into anyone nearly as toxic

That noise is the system attempting to read the disc, often if the disc not damaged or dirty, you may need a new ps4 soon as it over heats often

Try this and like if it worked go to account management (in settings) then go to restore licenses. Once that's done restart your ps4 then BOOM it might work it worked for me so just lettings you guys know!

It happens like me when i try to play overwatch on the ps4, the error message said that the disc is damage, or dirty, and its recommend to clean it. I try cleaning the overwatch disc with water to rinse it, and dry it with a towel, and then when i insert the overwatch disc back in the ps4 it still works perfectly fine.

Trust me turn on bright light put your disk under it and observe the small stains. Wipe them off with a soft cloth and that's how my game worked

If you gonna get GTA 5 digitally here a reminder you cannot play until game and update download first for the in-game download will be faster and u will be able to play if not the slow will take a long time so make sure u dont start the game unless u download it digitally and full update download with it

Hey guys I have the fix for you guyss! Even my gta disc had the same problem. For the past one week I was studying about this and ik well what is happening! I've tried all the method online about fixing this issue but I had no luck! So basically the problem is even the tiniest scratch on the cd can disturb or stop the installation process! My installation only went till 8%. At 8%i always used to get the blue screen. Ik there are methods like ignore the screen the installation is going on behind the blue screen. But for me even that wasn't! So heres the fix to those who are like me! What I did was I borrowed a gta cd from my friend. His disc was clean like cake! I inserted it on my ps4 and the installation was going just fine. After the installation I give it back to my frnd and now I didn't have to go through the whole installation process again. MY DISC WAS WORKING FINE BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE INSTALLATION PROCESS AGAIN☺️ So try getting the same games clean disc from elsewhere and give it back once the installation is complete.
