SOLVED: DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter Issues

Issue has been resolved! You need to update the firmware on the DJI Mic 2’s in order to use the adapter!

firmware update fixed mine as well, only problem i have now. is that the receiver will not turn automatically on and off with the camera. (still need cable for that) I really hope DJI fixes this with a later firmware!!

Jose i just solved mine, put on a headphone. Then slowly put on the adapter till you hit the audio. Dont put it all the way in. If you get passed the terminal it cuts off

i had issues but for 2 reasons. 1 is that the cage wasnt lettign the adapter seat right and 2. order is important because connections are being made. 1 reciver has to cconnect to the adapter and confirm. then set adapter to hotshoe then confirm. if you do it in a different order the reciver doesnt understand. and since the reciever has to recognize it. the camera has to be turned on last.

there would be an additional camera icon on the DJI mic 2 receiver screen if it connects properly, try adjusting the camera cage to fully seat the DJI adaptor, the icon you see on the DJI mic 2 receiver screen is just the DJI adaptor connection not camera. i had the same issue initially and once i adjusted my cage to fully seat the DJI adaptor

After watching your video, I am going to check my A6700 to see if I have the same issue. Also because of this exact setup, using a Smallrig camera cage, I can no longer mount my Nitze top handle to the cage. This intern take out my external monitor.

try removing the cage, I had a similar issue with my Sony ZV-E1 with the adapter, updated firmware of my camera and dji mic 2. the problem is that the adapter is not fully seated. if that was the issue u can either dremel the adapter or cage.

Man, I haven’t had any problems with any of my cameras. You running the latest firmware update on the DJI system? I updated before trying to use the new adaptor.

That “confirm” sign is wrong (it’s showing standard adapter and not the MI connection) Best practice is to connect the adapter to the receiver unit first then connect it to your Sony camera.

I solved it, just needed to update the firmware on the DJi mic 2! Now I get a camera icon when I connect to it

@@mirrorlessmemory that’s weird, I haven’t updated my mics at all and it works on FX30. I’m gonna look into it, good video btw 👍🏽

@@Fredo.heavyy thanks, yeah the firmware version was from 4.15, I had the version prior. Now it will connect in any way I do it, off prior, on prior, already connect, connecting after it’s on, it’s amazing
