What website you order from?? And what was your symptoms
@Deesteelersfan79 Жыл бұрын
@@willdabeast144 it was so long ago I can’t remember the website. It was some mopar dealer out of Florida. The symptoms were as follows. I would be driving and it would just shut off I would lose all dash lights, just dead in the water. Down in the odometer screen it would say no bus so I looked it up online and everyone said battery cable’s and look for shorts. I did everything seemed fine then I read about the pcm I took a gamble not knowing if that’s what my issue was for sure. I ordered it I think it was like 400$. Was also in 2004, PCMs were harder to come by. You would had to go thru the dealership most times. It cost upwards of 1500 @dealership anyway. I gave my vin they flashed it in and when I got it plug and play. I think I had to turn the key to start like 10 times. Then it fired right up. I don’t remember the company name. I recently had similar issues on a 2012 Chevy captiva. I ordered it for 185$ through www.mintt.com they have great prices and they do the same as the other guys. With flashing your vin into the module. Good luck I would say check your cables

Did your fuel pump engage before replacing ecm? I have the new bus code and noticed my pump wasn’t engaging that replaced the fuel pump. It started a couple times but would die and now still doesn’t engage I changed the crank sensor

I have a 2002 Chrysler 300M and it just started giving an intermittent "no bus" with the gauges shutting off. I will look for grounds and clean to see if that fixes it. Thanks for the idea.

Tell me if your problem solved with cleaning only???
@artisanwest9730 Жыл бұрын
@@AliAbady93 The engine compartment is rather full so hard to see any grounds. I re-seated all the connections on the PCU but the problem has come back again. Very intermittent. Car will start and run ok but gauges are affected.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably have to take it in to the dealer. However, body control modules may no longer be available. @@Deesteelersfan79

Look for issues in the can bus line anything that is part of the CAN system can cause that

Symptom: Engine will not start. Gauges are inoperative. NO BUS message displayed on odometer. Problem 1 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. Problem 2 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Problem 3 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Problem 4 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Problem 5 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted wire.. Problem 6 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Governor Pressure Sensor. Also check your grounds on the heads/firewall and fenders. The PCM may have broken solder joints due to heating and cooling of the main PCB. Not to blame Dodge/Chrysler, this is a pretty common problem with many electronic devices. Any electronics that gets hot then cools is going to flex the main PCB and break the non lead solder that is used in electronics. If you want to take apart and repair the PCM check "Keenan Laws" KZbin videos on repairing the Dodge PCM

This isn’t a fix this is an error on your parts when, people are going through hell with this problem and most common suggestions is crank sensor a short dirty bad grounds not forgetting to hook them up !
