It happened with me today and i use this video to solve it. But instead of remove step7 i just select repair and it work fine all missing modules are back is there any problem of doing repair insted of remove and install again ?

No, in fact, I always try repair first. It usually fixes the problem and is faster and less likely to mess up your application. Normally what happens is a set of pointers or indexes get misaligned or deleted. The repair process rebuilds the lists and refreshes the views when the program is restarted.

Hello. Do you know other ways to solve the issue of missing components (314-1ag13-0ab0 in my case) on the list? I've installed step 7 v5.6 from folder but it didnt help. When Im trying to update catalog via "install hardware updates" component in question is marked as "supplied" so i cant add it and getting error "Selection not possible. Cannot install over a HW update supplied with the Step 7 version."

Hello, Did you remove your installed software? and then install it again from the folder? If yes and it did not work out you should better update your HW config.

i have a problem the simulation icon is grayed out not activated , also cannot set interface to PC/PPI cable iam using step v5.6

@@georgealbo Hey again.. I think that I solve it. You just have to enter on the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pou2iKl7gLJ4q5o and then download the first link in the description.. and install, of course, the PLCSIM.
