The exhaustion and the injuries would be one logical explanation why she didn't kill Blue when given the chance after I-Rex was defeated... but it could be that Rexy is also a way smarter than she appears to be, smart enough to understand that Blue saved her life and is not a threat, even if Rexy had not a very pleasant encounter with the Raptors in the past.

My joke theory before was Rexy was just "I'm too old for this" to keep fighting Blue. I like how Blue took a small step back away when Rexy was looking at her, showing she was not interested in fighting the T-Rex after that.

This actually makes the most sense, the step back plays a HUGE part here. Animals run on instinct and if Blue would have charged T-Rex would have defended herself and a fight would been on. 1: Rexy was definitely an experienced girl, she knew how to distinguish friend, foe, and food. 2: I think you came close with the theory that Rexy was preparing for egg-laying, although nest-building could have just been instinctual even if (as a Gen 1 dino) Rexy wasn't fertile. T-rex has an astonishingly large naval cavity and smell-region of their brain (proportionally). Rexy might very well have recognized Blue as a fertile female, even if their hormonal adaptations would eventually result in asexual reproduction. Especially if Rexy was in "mama"-mode hormonally, she may have recognized Blue as another female just defending her territory from a mutual threat, rather than a potential threat to her own nestlings.

When Rexy was released from the paddock it didn't attack the woman; it followed her instead, Rexy knew what was going on, Rexy would run at maybe 20mph so was following the woman instead, because she was nowhere near 20 mph, Rexy heard the fighting from inside the paddock, ``get moving woman take me to the fight``.

Go back to when Owen is preparing to release the raptors to hunt down in Indominus. He has the four raptors sniff the tracking implant. It’s target training using scent as the target. Owen had them sniff the scent not just so they could track but also so they know what their target is, attack that and nothing else. Same thing with Rexy. Rexy was target trained to respond to flares. The flare is used to signal to her that food has arrived. Clare uses the flare to lead Rexy to the threat and then throws the flare at the threat, signaling to Rexy what her target was. They do a similar thing with the orcas at SeaWorld by throwing ice cubes to a spot in the tank where the trainers want the orca to perform a behavior. Furthermore, looking back to Pavlov. He would ring a bell and feed the dogs. The bell was associated with feeding. Same thing with the flare, where it signified feeding for Rexy. Upon seeing Clare holding the flare, it triggered Rexy’s feeding instinct. When Clare threw the flare at the Indominus, Rexy then saw the Indominus as competition for her food and that triggered a territorial aggression. She was then in a fight for her territory. Blue didn’t attack Rexy because she wasn’t targeted onto Rexy and Rexy didn’t attack Blue, because Blue clearly wasn’t a threat to her or her territory.

The way I see it, after the fight with Indominus Rex, Blue backed up from Rexy, submitting to the larger carnivore, and Rexy allowed her to do so. There was a mutual understanding between them, that they didn't need to fight one another, and a temporary truce happed.

Maybe after the battle when Rexy and blue looked at each other they had a mutual understanding with one another (like u stated in ur video) but if u notice blue backs up from rexy a little, this to me suggests that blue is still on high alert but rexy realising that blue is alone due to knowing how raptors are and not seeing the rest of her pack, rexy might of not seen blue as a threat and walked away to say I’m not gonna fight u, since rexy was the first to leave

Could be a mix of the blood transfusion and or maternal. Since she was prepping a nest. But it could be that both blue and rexy saw the indominus as unknown predator to their territory. The little chirps blue does to rexy indicates to me that they are able to communicate on some type of level.

When I saw the movie as a child, I was like oh wow they teamed up and didn’t kill each other out of respect, that’s a first. But then I read the novel and it said they didn’t attack each other just because they were tired and hurt and I was like “oh well that’s a more boring reason, but makes more sense than teaming up I guess”

I think it's important to note that for all intents and purposes all dinos in JP are essentially movie monsters, so they can and will display behaviours that you probably would not see in real animals. One thing both demonstrated during the fight was that they were perfectly aware of what they were doing, there was this particular moment when Blue jumped on I-rexes face that sequence was extremely well timed between the two, you can see rexy looking at Blue right at the moment she goes for the pounce, acknowledges that her pounce created an opening and immediately followed up by pinning the Indominus down while it was distracted trying to get blue off. I'm not sure if this sort of coordination is possible outside primates, maybe dolphins, but it is movie monster behaviour. And yes it's possible that since Jp Raptors are regarded as extremely intelligent, it's possible that it was Owen's training that gave her that mental displine and why Rexy was able to catch on so quickly and led to their teamwork being so successful. What happened at the end there was just acknowledgement from both sides the outsider was defeated, all is well.

Here is mine When Claire opened the gate and got rexy out he only saw the indominus rex because it was the main huge evil dinosaur there but during the fight rexy was dying after that blue was the one gave rexy a support and helped him and then rexy found out blue was friendly and both respected each other

There is also the fact that the T-Rex is a normal predator meaning it does not kill unless it is hungry or it's territory is being invaded by a rival the T-Rex is not like Indominus who just kills nearly everything it encounters. If the T-rex is not hungry and does not view Blue as a rival then there is no reason to kill on sight. You can find images of Lions drinking water next to prey animals because the Lions happen to not be hungry atm. The true answer is that they needed blue for future movies. 😂

risk vs reward. Rexxy was too tired, I-dominius was too aggressive and a threat, Blue understood she couldn't win against Rexxy. It's not hard and they're just animals.once the first was finished, they left each other alone because wounds can become infected and survival dictates risk vs reward. its why most normal wolves will not fight to the death but you will still have individuals (the daughter in the druid pack in yellowstone) who aren't quite right.

Knowing Rexy isnt a true T rex makes this theory harder, but we have to look at intelligence. A real Rex was likely as smart as big cats or even crows/ravens. Like in jurassic park, its possible they hunted in pairs or with their young, but otherwise were solitary. So if we think of Rexy as a Tiger which has similar intelligence, hunting patterns, and social structure, it might explain the scene. Predators typically avoid other predators of even half their size because even though you win you get hurt. Blue is much less than half but call her a cheetah sized leopard. The indominus is insanely violent, meaning Rexy couldnt avoid the fight, and Blue chose to help protect hence her reason to fight. It does sometimes happen in nature where two enemies join up to protect a kill if it means they split the spoils. And generally if two animals are fighting, interrupting them will see them both turn on you. But high problem solving in both good girls allows them to see there will be no life, let alone food, if this creature survives. I think its mostly down to an invasive, agressive species not following normal animal law facing two highly intelligent combatants. They knew they could fight each other afterward if thats what needed to happen, but they were torn up and possibly hormonal and forming eggs to be laid.

I think the generally obvious answer is that Blue “saved” Rexy. Rexy was able to recognize that combined with both just being fucken exhausted. I do feel though that if Rexy would’ve seen Owen after the fight she would have gone after him. She would have absolutely eaten Claire aswell if Claire didn’t have the flare and didn’t get out of the way after throwing it. I don’t think it’s meant to be looked to far into it but this video is clearly being artificial extended with the unnecessary repeated wording to get KZbin money available for it. 😅 Which in itself isn’t that bad. Just noticeable. Or hell maybe that’s just how you talk who can say for sure right? 😁

There wasn't enough money in the cgi budget + blue had plot armour. The step backwards blue takes in that scene is the reason they don't fight. Blue doesn't see her as a threat at that point and shows it by taking a step back but standing her ground. Roberta is tired after he fight and when blue doesn't attack, she sees she's not threatening, so she walks away. Basic animal behaviour/body language.

As for an in-universe explanation, I think that even if Rexy didn't fully grasp Blue's intentions and what exactly was happening, she would've at least noticed that Blue came in with a welcome assist, never actually attacked her and gave her some good openings to gain the upper hand on the Indominus -- a much greater threat. Blue's step backwards at the end was an offer for the both of them to simply turn around and walk away, and by then Rexy was obviously injured, exhausted, and probably just happy to be done with it.

this could be similar to how wolves sees primitive humans not as potential meat, yet a way to live in the same structures that the humans built with them, in exchange for helping the humans hunt for pray, and considering that our primitive ancestors can only eat the soft parts of the animal that they killed (after cooking it that is), the wolves can eat the rest like the bones, and the rest is _pre_ history.

I talked to a paleontologist at the st Louis science center about Jurassic Park. Fun fact, she told me that the dino blood recovered in mosquitoes would be too damaged to do anything with. And if they weren't, filling in the dna gaps with the dna of a frog would have created animals that never existed like in Jurassic Park. Fun fact.

at the end blue also shows submission to rexy (stepping back during the final stare-down) and rexy recognized that in her exauted state that the raptor and humans would not be a good meal (she's eaten humans before and knows that we're not worth it work outside of a snack of oportunity and can likely smell the larger dead dinos near enough by that she know would be a far better meal so rather then fight this submissive raptor or try eating the humans which she know would be more trouble then it's worth she opts to go get some filling carrion instead)

I thinking that there was a little bit of a show mutual respect between rexy and blue just like in gvk between Godzilla and Kong after taking out mechagodzilla

Tyrannosaurs are very intelligent for therapods, and they were known to strategize. The tyrannosaur could tell that Blue was not a threat, and when Blue backed down she had the tyrannosaur's respect

Remember, in the Jurassic Park movie, the velociraptors jumped on Rexy, so Rexy should attack blue

Rexy has mother hormones running high through her body, but without a mate or her own ability to make eggs on her own, it has to go somewhere. Might as well be influencing her to be more "gentle" around anything that her instincts would call a "baby." Blue may be fully grown, but to Rexy, she might as well be the size of a baby/juvenile T-Rex. And scientists have come to an agreement that T-Rexes were good parental dinosaurs. She's not going to harm Blue because her mother instincts are telling her not to, but given that Rexy is smart dinosaur (sure not on the same level as a velociraptor, she ain't stupid) she knows Blue probably isn't a baby, but defiantly isn't even a T-Rex. So she leaves "baby" be because she doesn't want to fight a potential parent coming to their defense, not knowing Owen's actually the parent, but that's what her hormones are telling her. Rexy's tired, wounded and in need to make a nest: she's got no time for Blue.

I think that,they knew that the I-Rex was a threat and needed to go.Therfore, Rexy didn't attack blue because she knew that if something was helping her to get rid of the fhreat She knew not to attack a helping creature that also knew that the I-Rex was a threat .
