My phone is half flashing white and disappearing. Sometimes it just goes full back and wont work. This at least got it to function enough to send a text Paid over £2000 for this pile of trash. Wont be buying them again. Screen is cracking at the fold. Dead pixels everywhere. Crap. But this tip. Helped. So thanks

All the connectors are in the top half at the rear in a horizontal line around 2cm up from the separating line. No need to massage anywhere else.

I'm scared it's gonna break my phone edit:just did the massage thingy and I'm seeing if the screen goes black again or does the gray screen thing it was doing(the gray screen thing is literally just a gray screen when I flip it open but that goes away by flipping close and open again) edit 2: just checked again and it did the black screen thing but only took maybe 5 to 7 seconds to go back to normal. normally it took about 10 to 15 so idrk if it worked. I'm gonna go to samsung and see if it can be fixed. tag me if u want an update bc I'll probably forget to edit 3: haven't gone to samsung yet but the second time the black screen happened it took maybe 3 seconds to recover. don't know if the time decrease was because of the massaging or if it's just decreasing on its own. also the black screen of death doesn't happen when im using the phone it just happens when I flip the phone open edit 4: still haven't gone to samsung yet but I'll probably ask about a faulty sensor. I left my phone for about 25 min to get ready for the day and when I checked I saw the black screen of death but it was a dark gray color. took like 10 seconds to recover so massage doesn't work

I just did this now. And it works. The first step. Tha nk you so much for saving me! Lol! Super big help, now its fine. My question is whyd it happen? It became black, but the cover screen is working though. Then i just did the first trouble shooting u did, and it really worked. My flip 4 is just 2 mons now to me.

my situation was like yours but it didn't work. I see a small flash of yellowish white light at the bottom of the screen and I has to wait for the screen to turn on. can u tell me exactly what u did because I might have done something wrong

I believe it's something to do with the hinge but I'll let u know when I get the confirmation. one thing to try, if u keep the phone flipped open and don't flip it closed, it works fine so js try not to flip it closed too much before getting it fixed

Had this for nearly 2 years in contract till jan, this just happened now, and It was working well now i get nothing, just blank screen, tried the forced restart, ssme only half displayed but cznt use it what so ever, so its looks like a repair

The thing for me is, all these work, but the moment i close my phone, it doesn't come on again. Sometimes it takes time to get back on, other times i have to force restart it. Its so annoying and undint know what the problem is exactly.

I had this problem and NOTHING WORKED. You just need to go to Samsung Care Center, so they can re calibrate your sensors. Now it works like clockwork again!!!

Mine only 4 month , have the same problem with this + the volume are slow when the flip are close.The screen will only appear after 20-30 second. I brought to samsung centre and they said it has dented at the divider. It was so small. So they said the warranty cant be claim..

How about trying with a real "Screen of Death" Not a working Z Flip,,, This does not work, sorry... I have the same horror stories as with all the comments here! Was a huge Samsung fan for 15 years... My Z Flip was only 5 month old and I lost everything on it! Now I may have to move on...

@DitsaMukherjee1908 Not resolved, now I brought S24 ultra. But don't buy any foldable phones. Bcs that inners strap has 2lakh times open close time period. If this timeline comes in 12 months warranty then u lucky. Afte 12 month's out off warranty. Then you have to pay 34 k for that's strip. How's the poor model by samsung. 👎👎

The same thing happened to me - twice. My husband bought me phone for my birthday. 8 months later it went black all of a sudden. Someone replaced it (not the carrier, but they sent me to call someone else). The replacement worked for 18 months, then same issue - screen went all funny, black line across middle, green lines, screen not responding to touch. I went to my carrier and they basically said, not my problem and I had to get a new phone.

My black screen looks like black ink is bleeding from the screen where it bends and only parts of the screen responds to touch. I cant unlock my phone because its not responding to touch and I cant see the screen where it bends.

I had this issue. It slowly got worse Send it to samsung. They will sort it I stupidly sent mine to my contract provider. They screwed it up badly and now its no longer repairable. Wasted over £2000 paying the contract on this. Hope you get yours sorted
