You are making things more complicated than they need to be. At 7:17, after correcting your error, you have −cot(½α)·(cos(α − ½π) + i·sin(α − ½π)) But this is simply −cot(½α)·(cos α + i·sin α)·(cos(−½π) + i·sin(−½π)) and since cos(−½π) + i·sin(−½π) = −i this reduces to i·cot(½α)·(cos α + i·sin α) and since cot(½α) = (1 + cos α)/sin α, cos α + i·sin α = a + bi this gives i·((1 + a)/b)·(a + bi) = −(a + 1) + ((a² + a)/b)·i

I love homemade problems. I have one thats actually about my home. The problem is... i sketch a drawing of my house and then i assign just 1 sometimes 2 measurements. And then i try finding the area of each part or i inscribe a circle somewhere and try to find the dimensions of the circle.
