This puzzle had to have been designed by a team of Mercedes-Benz engineers. It's hellishly expensive, mechanically over-designed, exquisitely machined and it takes 6 hours to get to the one part that needs to be serviced every 50,000 km.

That was one of the most satisfying puzzle solves, it really pushes to the limit of some of the hardest to discern puzzle tropes. Like internal pins you can’t see is already tough. Making it magnetic? Diabolical. Everybody loves the spin move. The red herring buttons. Just... bless.

While this is definitely a well made puzzle, my biggest issue with it is that unless you know before hand that the solved state is to remove that particular pin, there's no indicator that it's "solved" rather than just another piece being removed. When he said it was solved, I was just confused because it didn't feel any different than any other time he removed a part from it.

that moment around 9:25 would have been a cool idea for a puzzle though. Have a box that needs to be unlocked by some sort of contrived key tool which was originally part of the box. So you do all these moves moving the pieces off the box, you do a bunch of other moves to assemble all the pieces you removed into a tool, then you use the tool to unlock the box.

Assuming the tabletop is granite, such damage can be repaired by resurfacing the entire top of table, or, the damage can be hidden by filling the damage spot with similar color felt pen. Filling the damage spot with any kind of putty will require sanding down which will ruin the high gloss polish around damage spot.

If this is a prototype and a one off, $2000 isn't even that steep. Just calculate the manhours that went into making it and you have your answer. However, once you have this, it should be easy to make an unlimited amount for far less.

I suggest a change. I think that last move, where you must rotate the brass cylinder with a tiny steel decorative pin sticking out, should be combined with the sliding-through steel cylinder that is closer to the other end of the puzzle. This is my suggestion: make a groove in the interior seizing pin, which is clasped by a "lip" (sort of like a rotating cabinet latch,) that slides into a circular groove in the side of the pin, and the "lip" is incorporated almost full-circle except a gap. Meanwhile, butted up against the other end of the hidden seizing pin, the back-and-forth sliding steel cylinder (which movement you referred to as "a glitch" near the end,) should butt right up against the hidden pin, keeping it in place from the other end, and also have a hole somewhere along its length to accomodate the pin's circumferen. So, to solve it, and free the groove from the rotating lip near one end, and un-butt the opposite end, you would have to hold and twist the rotating brass cylinder while also manipulating the sliding steel cylinder back and forth, testing combinations until you get the clasp to unseize and the hole to line up at the same time. To give a "feel" to the user, a chamfer of a thousandth or two (maybe more) could be put on the edge of the sliding steel cylinder hole.
