Hey, your videos are great. But if only the members or forces acting on members, we are cutting is considered then why do you consider reaction forces at G and external applied force 30KN in the moments and forces equilibrium equations? Your explanation till how we consider the section and consider the forces passing thru the section is good. But please explain why we consider reaction and other external applied forces on the selected side is considered in the equilibrium equation while other forces on members EF, FG on selected side are left out?

Great, I am waiting for the afternoon course to buy the morning and afternoon together! My question is after i buy them what additional books or calculator do i have to have? And they are going to cover the FE civil,right? How long do i have to study to get it? What’s your recommendation?
@Genieprep4 жыл бұрын
Hello Ekhlas, Thank you for watching and for being interested in our courses. So if you enroll in our courses, you will not need ANY additional material, in fact, I recommend my students to not use any additional books, except for practice exams because there are a lot of material out there that's not relevant to the FE exam and it will waste your time. I literally cover everything in these courses from concepts to problems and also if you have questions, you can ask us and my team and I will help you and clarify any questions you have. For the calculator, I walk you through how to use Ti-36x pro in the course, if you're using a different calculator, Praneetha will actually be able to help you with that. Once you enroll in the course, you will get a schedule template of how to plan your studying. You can aslo schedule a call with my team and they can help you with that as well. Feel free to email us if you have any more questions and I hope to see you in our classes soon 😊

Why don't we take into consideration forces on EF?
@omarchemaly88013 жыл бұрын
I had the same question, any idea?
@amilcarmarroquin26803 жыл бұрын
@@omarchemaly8801 I think because the components of the tension EF by their arm from D cancelled each other. One goes clockwise and the other counterclockwise.
@carultch Жыл бұрын
The reason we don't need to consider forces in member EF, is primarily because we weren't asked to find the force in Member EF. We only want to know the force in member CE. For this reason, we can use the method of sections, and ignore the forces in all sections other than the section we choose that contains member CE. We need to pick a section with 3 members, and a section that passes thru member CE, and then we solve the method of sections to find it.
@carultch Жыл бұрын
@@omarchemaly8801 I've answered the OP's original question.
@elucier911 ай бұрын
So, I watched a similar example done by Jeff Hanson, and he said that we do not need to consider members that we do not cut. Therefore, they can be left out of the equation. Member EF was not cut. Therefore, it will not show up in the equation. That is my understanding.
