Sricharan the answer is 5ohm because in that question there is wire going without any resistance so due to short circuit we do not need to take 1 -2ohm resistor

7 is the correct 💯 answer of the HOMEWORK QUESTION. Basics- Electricity always takes the shortest path, so first remove the longest path from the circuit. Then simply solve.

Hey bro, i also got 7 ohm . I just wanted to know if we both used the same method or not For me, I first calculated R2 and R3 in parallel. And got 1 ohm Then I took R1, R4 , R5 and the 1ohm I got is series And hence I got 7ohm Please tell me if you used the method or not

Hey divya, I'll help you out, compare each line I say with the figure- -R2 and R3 is parallel and therefore 1/R2+1/R3=1 ohm -R1 and the value we just found out of Rp adds up to 3 ohm(2ohm+1ohm) -the simplified circuit with the values as 3ohm, 2ohm and 2ohm would be in series -therefore the answer would be 3+2+2=7 ohm I hope this help you💗
