Solving ILIFE A4 / A4S wheel issue

Great vacuum cleaner! First problem after 2 years (it works every day!)! Solved by cleaning Left wheel and all dust inside!
If it does not work, try turning ON the robot and manually forcing the wheel to spin!
Click AUTO and lift the back of the vacuum cleaner to reach the blocked wheel and rotate it with your hand.

This was awesome thank you. I was already ready to head out and buy a new robot vacuum when I saw this for the same problem my iLife robot was having. Worked like a charm and saved me a few hundred bucks.

I had the same problem with turning then stopping. I watched a video that showed how to take the vacuum apart and clean everything down to the brush bearings. While doing that I saw the connector wire from the right wheel which connects to the motherboard had two loose wires. I had to purchase another wheel to get a new connector wire but it now works like new.

Hi @freebie! How long did you have the vacuum cleaner until you notice that problem?

LukasBest It was just over a year old. Out of warranty. Used it today and let it run for about 2 hrs with no problem.

Thanks to your video I've found out that I have a torn wire in the connector of my right wheel. Any idea where can I get such connector?

Hi Lukas. I don't know if you can help me, but do you know what kind of connector is the cable from the Wheel Motor to the motherboard? My wheel riped of the cable! Thanks you.

Hi Lukas! I have the same problem with my IlifeA4 robot. I cleaned the dust but one of the wheels is not working. I forced to rotate, it's worked but after that seems to be a problem again. Can you tell me what I can do more? Thanks!

If you know someone with this vacuum model, please ask them to loan the damaged weel and try again. If the problem persists then is a problem on motherboard and the solution is buy another one :(

Sometimes the wheel is collecting dust between plastic and wheel. I needed flashlight and needle to remove "dust balls" to make wheel move freely again.

What part actually helped the issue? Last last part seemed like you cleaned the whole motherboard...
