solving my rough idle on the Nissan D21

Man bro i had the same mission on my truck i did alot of work until finally found the issue it was a fuel temperature sensor it had a rough idle, really bad cold strt, and check engine light. After changing that fuel temperature sensor now my truck runs like a champ

Ive got misfire once per second....at 2000 rpm........ As well as a really rough idle the fuel injectors were replaced as a set a couple of years ago All I can think of is cam shaft damage.....

Thanks for watching. If your chasing a misfire start simple. Replace plugs and wires one at time.

I'm having mine with the same problem normally it's going from the 1st to 2nd gear and then stopping at red lights. I have changed the fuel filter I've done all the spark plugs everything connected to those Do you have any suggestions of why she wants to choke out When I'm out of red light I can give her a little bit of gas I kind of calm it down then sometimes it starts backup again

Thanks for watching. Wonky idle could because by a number of things. Mass air flow sensor, O2 sensors, throttle position sensor, idle air control valve, vacum leaks to name a few. I would suggest try cleaning's the throttle body first.

I got the same problem but it’s in 3rd&4th gear when wot but it works fine if I baby the throttle only in 3&4 when I go in 5 and just cruising for a bit the check engine light come on for ignition signal drop a gear light goes off but still not difference change spark plug ,the wires , and coil and air ,fuel filter any ideas

Try the fuel temperature sensor it work for me now my truck runs awesome and nomore lights on my dash

I looked at 5 Nissan Frontiers to buy an they all had milkshake on the oil cap typical Nissan I guess

Yea, the head gasket is the weak link in these things, but they can be fixed.

1 st gen frontiers had the KA24 engine 98 to 2000 after that they came with a 2.5 same as 3rd gen Altimas stay away from that Renault's garbage 1st and 2nd gen Altimas last great Nissan cars

22mm socket on the crankshaft bolt? My 1994 D21 takes a 27mm socket. What year were you working on? And be sure to turn the bolt CLOCKWISE to move the Shaft, people. Counter clockwise will unscrew the bolt! Noooo.

1996! I also have a '96 hiding in my garage. I'll go check it now and come back. (later) my 1996 has a 27mm crankshaft pulley bolt. I'm the second owner.

Thank for watching. There are many reasons why your truck is stalling. Let’s start with the basics. 1. Check for vacuum leaks. 2. Check the fuel pressure. 3.If you haven’t done it lately, I’d give it a tune up. ( plug, wires, distro cap,etc)

your throttle position sensor may need adjusting also

Just use boot from old spark plug wire
