For Question 12 at 3:50, the exponentially decaying curve y = 2^-x + 1 has a horizontal asymptote at y = 1 (for large values of x). It can be concluded immediately that A) is the correct answer. The point (0,2) in the graph is a further verification.

23:00 there actually is another way to solve it using “power of a point”: When two chords/radiuses intersect, they have a property that the product of each side of the radius is the same. In other words, for this problem it would be: UZ * ZX = WZ * ZY. We know UZ = 10 because UZ is made up of UO and OZ; UO = 6(radius) & OZ = 4(As derived in video). ZX = 2(given). So we have 20 = WZ * ZY. Additionally, WZ = ZY as it’s perpendicularly bisected by the radius(you can tell just by looking at the image). So now we get 20 = WZ^2 -> WZ = sqrt(20)

For question 37, you can get the answer directly from the equation. Given r = (20/21)t, boom we have t = (21/20)r = (1.05)r The answer is 5%.

I solved question 20 at 8:31 by differentiation and equating the derivative to zero to find the x value at the turning point. i.e -(+h). So the quadrant with positive y (k) and negative x is quadrant II.

For the first question #9. Once all the angles are the same the triangles are immediately congruent. Thus wouldn’t the answer be D?
@rondalitas

You're confusing similar triangles with congruent triangles. Congruent = all corresponding sides and angles are equal / same size and shape Similar = all angles are equal / same shape

To find the function f(x), the given function f(x) +1 has to be translated down by one (the hand-drawn function he adds onto the graph). When x is 0 in the function f(x), y = 1. Plugging 0 into 2^x + 1 would equal 2 (2^0 + 1 = 1 + 1 = 2).

since you obviously are not American (which isnt a bad thing), i will do my best to explain that the SAT does not test advanced math, it tests the BARE BARE minimum that someone should have learned in their 12 years of education. America does have much harder math tests than this. also keep in mind that virtually everyone takes the SAT(even the kids that are not that smart), in the JEE, it is much more self selective
