Also there are like gears on the outer ring of the coin. As like for the inner ring compartment of the small ring close to the gem. It seems like they were same material as well.

That was cooler than the $30,000 chest. My favorite so far, hands down and by a mile. I think it was the fact that it had the "Indiana Jones" themed treasure hunt with the "Ancient Maya/Aztec" aesthetic vibe kicking PLUS the fact you actually got some treasure at the end with the nice gem! I wouldn't be surprised at all to find that is an actual fasceted precious gemstone of some value. *EDIT:* Jesse's website says the gem is real, it's a type of Irradiated Quartz called "Citrine" (i.e. does not occur in nature). Would have been really sick if it was Fire Opal though, since Fire Opal comes from South/Central America and was precious to the Aztec and Maya. (I dated a gemologist for 3 years back in the day, learned a lot from her). It is also yellow or orange. Emerald would be cool too, but probably too expensive. *EDIT #2 : PLEASE POST THE FINAL SOLVE OF THIS PUZZLE!!* from a quick review of the comments, you missed the final solve! Comments say it was dealing with the scorpion and the cog-wheel thing and there is still more to solve! Would love to see the "final secret" in an update video! Thanks Chris, Cheers mate! 🍻

@@joshuamidgette4846 Yes, I knew about the irradiated ammy, but most folks I've seen who purport to have "citrine" actually have iron stained quartz or just very yellow smokey quartz. (hence, irradiated naturally). The way I understand it, the only the iron chromophore in citrine can be natural is if a quartz deposit or vein is also located in a pegmatite with radioactive minerals, and I suppose that's more than probable...

The box includes a link to Jesse going through the solution, only real hint mentioned is that the symbols on the bottom are a clue for where to start. The rest of the puzzle is pretty self explanitory TBH, although the use of spear to wind back the spring loaded part was a complete fluke for me to work out. Would say that Chris does seem to "stumble" on some of the steps with suspicious regularity, first step being case in point. The sliding part is invisible on my copy of this puzzle and doesnt slide as easy, took me quite a while to "stumble" on it.

It's beautifully constructed, the detail is amazing, the execution of the hidden mechanisms is top notch. After all these years doing puzzles, you haven't worked out that just bumbling around, wiggling and prodding until something happens is not how you're supposed to solve puzzles. I'm not suggesting you should become a clone of Mr Puzzle, but at least you could learn from him how solving a puzzle is meant to be done. If Mr Magoo did puzzles, it would look (and sound) a lot like Chris Ramsay doing puzzles. It's not as if you're incapable of learning - your tricks show you have the ability.

Hello Chris, Just a suggestion. Use a adjustable desk lamp to illuminate the dark recessed areas of your puzzle. This will eliminate the need to keep picking up your light.

Have been watching Chris for a while, and his content is so well made. Keep up the good work. Also help him slay 💅

23:38 I think you were supposed to use the spear to push down the button on the scorpion. The note writer left you the spear to protect against the scorpion's poison, so it makes sense that the spear would work better than your vulnerable fingers to slay the beast.

That nice coin object before you gained access to the gem 💎 was a piece that you needed to remove and return box back to the beginning near when you returned the spear, to unlock another surprise. Where that coin has a porpoise. Maybe underneath when all puzzle is reset. If I am wrong, then you can let the creator know, so he can make that part of his future creations
