Absolutley. WD40 will clog it up eventually. The problem is dust, and WD40 will clean it out at first, then attract even more dust.

Thanks for this. Worked for me. The display was just not responding to the rotary selector but all good now. Note for anyone who tries this and it doesn't appear to fix the problem. Follow AA's advice and then just leave it alone for a few days. Mine worked perfectly after that.

Good job but I wouldn't necessarily use WD40, as the oil might attract dust and other debree and end up making it worse after some time. Electronic contact cleaner would be better for a more long term solution.

Hi, question: I found a 2002 9-3 SE Hatchback for $900. The owner said the car dies randomly after startup sometimes and the RPMs go up randomly. Would this be a cheap fix? I’ve never owned a Saab before. Also, it has 167k miles on it.

Same with the radios. I have the basic radio in mine. TY.

@@babykirbyman The ICM1 is the one you currently have with no screen. ICM 2 has the smaller screen and is the most reliable one. ICM3 has the naviagtion and is much more of a pain to make work as youll need the DVD player for the NAVI and various components of. You will need AMP1 that goes under the drivers Seat and the one in the rear of the car, left quarter panel which is AMP 2 which powers 2 rear 6x9 speakers on the rear shelf. you should have all the wiring with nothing connected. (off topic its same as the locking gas cap that we have the option for, if you pull back the fabric on the right rear passengers side trunk, youll see the connector.. lol.)

Only 17 mpg - we might need a wee more information my friend to produce any meaningful diagnosis. Year, model, engine, trans, mileage, oil consumption, maintenance history, your length of ownership, and when did you observe the change in the mpg, or has it been the same for your period of ownership. All that would be good for starters.

Quick question. I got a 2003 Saab 9-3 linear, and was wondering what would be the best exhaust or exhaust system for it without giving up some performance of getting rid of stock muffler/system. Also I’m not really looking to remap the whole exhaust system but if I have to I will.
@AutoAutopsy
@AutoAutopsy 4 жыл бұрын
No exhaust system is going to hurt your performance, so don't worry about that. If you want the best, look into krona. If you're on a budget, get something custom done from the catback. You'll find the biggest gains from an upgraded downpipe though

HI again, don't use WD40 for that job as it does leave a oil residue, plus working on the car with the power on is risky even though it is only 12V if a small spark occures there is the risk that the WD40 goes up in flames. Use a dry contact cleaner first of all it is specific for this job plus there is no risk as it is not flamable and it leave no oil residue as it evaporates quite quickly
